This morning I woke up to find one of the kittens sitting on the top part of my chest, purring and purring. Fortunately she's not as big as the boys, although heavy enough that I was ready for her to move. The purrs were nice. She also likes to groom my face when I'm asleep, very startling.

Times Pet of the Year is a black cat from a Seattle shelter where I've done volunteer work. It's so much fun to see shelter cats in a loving home.

Annie really does rule the roost. Stevie gets into trouble--she has a thing about any vegetable or fruit on the counter and right now is obsessed with the serrano peppers. I've had to put one in the fridge and I don't know where she batted the other one.
