Midnight Louie is using up his 9 lives. He found another coral snake on the lanai. I don't see any puncture marks, so I think he lucked out again. This is the 3rd coral snake this year. They are so skinny they can get under the screen door.

Think I’d be calling an exterminator. And you do know there is another non poisonous snake that looks very similar?

Red and black, friend of Jack. Red and yellow hurt a fellow. Depends on the stripes. But I’d be too far gone to notice.

Can you add something to the door bottom to make it fit tighter? Some kind of insulation, maybe? I'm with Spookie. I would be way too scared to count stripes.

That's what I was thinking, too. How about adding weather stripping to the edge of the door? A good handyman (handyperson?) should be able to come up with an idea.

According to some quick research, if the yellow and red bands touch, the snake is poisonous. Thus "Red touches yellow, kills a fellow. Red touches black, friend of Jack."

Eep! So you not only have to examine the color but the pattern the color? Well I guess I could after it was mashed flat! Petite so glad Midnight Louie (and you) are safe.

Yes, it as a coral snake. I have the space covered and will go to home depot to get a door sweep. (I think that is what is called)

Spookiesmom: that's the healing benefit of kitties. All the laughing. I got my two sisters between chemo #5 and Chemo #6. Lowest point of zero energy... It instantly added laughter and happiness back into my life. So healing.

Good morning, cat lovers. My fur babies are so happy in the morning. They want petting and of course, food.

They weren't all purring and happy this morning. They wanted to fight. Louie is in time out.

LOL I used to put my Chloe girl in time out--she had a really bad habit of meowing obnoxiously HOURS before it was time for the canned food. We called it her food siren and boy it was awful.

Pywacket gets his wet food about 10:30 am. He’s learning how to be a dog. They get theirs much earlier and get a treat on top. He’s right there with them, for a kitty treat. Has kibble all day to free feed. But does start demanding the wet.

He has vet today for final shots. Have bedrooms closed off, hope I can flush him from his snoozing spots when it’s time.

This is our Sofie - full of mischief but we love her! She refused to lie on my cancer side before I was diagnosed. Once I had my surgery, she was back to flopping herself down on my left side. Cats just know
