HI ladies!! FeelingFeline told me of this thread, so I had to pop in and meet you guys. Here is my run down of felines.

My avatar is of my Blues (RIP). Over 3 years ago, I had to say good-bye to her. I was beyond devastated. 10 weeks after having to put her down, I had to put down her sister, Rhythm. I went from devastated to very traumatized. Their younger sister, Harmony, who is 12 years old now, started having medical problems. From stomatitis (from which she has been cured due to having all her teeth out by a dental expert), to becoming hyperthyriod. Put her thru I-131 for it, which fixed the hyperT, but she fell into the 30% risk of becoming hypothyroid. She is stabilized now, with meds (and it is easier to treat HypOt, over hyperT, with meds)

And I have a 4 y/o names Cricket (Blues named her)

So yes, a feline lover indeed. And with all the medical issues my furry ones have had, I have become something of an feline expert, as far as being a layperson.

Teka, Now there's a good idea!

Last night at the shelter, someone brought in a box with an injured Mom and 5 kittens. The story of "finding" them was a little sketch, so who knows what happened. Mom was sent to the 24hr emergency vet where she was anesthetized and her wound debrided and repaired. The kittens were 7-10 days old and cold. We managed to save 3 of them and they were picked up by an experienced bottle baby foster parent. I don't know if they will try to unite Mom and kittens, or decide Mom is too injured to attempt nursing.

    July 2015

An ordinary domestic cat adopted a baby lynx called Nika at the Novosibirsk Zoo in Siberia, Russia. One of the zoo employees decided to bring her cat to the zoo after the mother of the lynx refused to feed her cub because it was the runt of the litter. The zookeeper's pet had recently had kittens and she soon started nursing the little lynx along with her own brood.

Co-inccidently in 2014 a stray cat got into St. Petersburg Zoo (Leningrad, not FL) and befriended a lynx.

Awwwwwww! I love this thread so much! Here is my beloved cat daughter who passed away 9 months before I got cancer. She was the most wonderful cat ever!

The one on the top is her, the long hair is thankfully still with us and along with her sister is the light of my life!

beautiful cats, wonderful that you rescued them. I'm the founder of HEAVEN SCENT EQUINE AND ANIMAL RESCUE ORGANIZATION and we have about 80 cats, 5 horses, 2 dogs, had 3 dogs, had 6 horses, had a goat and a pot belly pig. Being a rescue, we are also a sanctuary so once they arrive, they are at their forever home. I would love to post some pics, this is my 1st day lol. So bear with me.

Lucky getting a treat from one of our visitors. image

This isn't cats; but since you are all animal lovers, I thought you might enjoy this picture. North Dakota is on the migration path for many birds (lots of fields, potholes etc. for them to take a break & get some refreshments). This is a picture taken a couple days ago not far from where I live of a mile long (over a million birds) flock of Canadian Geese heading back north for the summer.

tinker and Riley are helping me! Not! Hard to type when they want to use my iPad to be petted by. And she's got her claws into my leg while she's kneeding me.
