Juni- he is precious!! We refer to kitty clawing while being pet "making biscuits" depending on the enthusiasm we start with biscuits.. then if they are really into it "making a loaf of bread", " "filling the bakery" lol

GAMomma, I love that!! Yes, like kneading bread ... only with fairly sharp claws into your leg. Ouch

The shelter has "Music for Cats", which has purring. I'm always looking around to see who it is. It's nice relaxing music for humans too. Their website has a sample.

Shetland, Ricky has been a wild rebel from minute one. My DH says "no one else would put up with him. He's a problem, but he's our problem." Sigh. As I'm typing this, he's knocking down apples from the fruit bowl.

I just love these cat photos. Whenever I check in here I always start a big smile. I also love cats and my 13 year old cat passed away a couple of years ago. Fast forward and I am now a catsitter and I love it. If you don't mind, I'd like to post a picture of some of the cats I take care--in some ways I do feel like they are 'my cats'.

This is Butch--he is an 18 year old grey tuxedo. He loves to be groomed with this comb. He is my favorite.

Sunlight on my cat grass. It's good to see some green growth.

My neighbor grew catnip in a bird cage on her deck. She said my cat would go over and sing to it. I agree that green is encouraging although we stay fairly green all year. More likely to have brown in the summer here when there's very little rain.

hI all! Juniper cat, thank you for the purrfest! It has inspired me. I am off to the shelter to get a cat. I have always had one! I feel like my screen name fits in here. I keep thinking I should change it to something more uplifting. It was true at the time I signed up here lol!Scared

A boy has got to have his nip. LOL

That reminds me of the time when our grade school librarian came to tutor our girls at the house. She grew catnip and would bring some to our two cats. It got so they were waiting at the door for her. One time after the initial treat, our big male snuck it out of her pocket, ate most of itand rolled off the sofa in a stupor. he had a nice looooong sleep.
