Last time I had half the days constipated and half the days diarrhea. I'd take the diarrhea hands down.

I told Jimmy to go to hell today. We NEVER have cross words. I'm just out of control emotionally this round. I actually threw my phone down when my mom was nagging me in texts.

Annie, have you tried a laxative?

  • AnnieB43
    AnnieB43 Member Posts: 724

Yes I've tried several. The only one that doesn't cramp is colace with the stimulant in it. I take it every night. It helps but seriously I think I hurt something. I'm calling the doctor tomorrow. It's probably a fissure along with raging roids. When I though chemo back in the day I just figured I'd be puking all the time and go bald. It's really real now ain't it?

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. The good news is that you are about halfway done!

Yes! I should finish up by Thanksgiving if there are no delays. Then 7 weeks of rads. Then the anti hormone stuff. The hard part is about half done. I'm thankful for that.

oh Annie I'm so sorry! I have been taking the vitamin triphala for years to keep things regular. I still take it every day when I don't have the big D and it does keep me regular. My Indian Dr. knew what is was and said it was fine to take. Just a thought. Oh and my family says I have no sense of humor anymore, I'm too serious.

I felt pretty good yesterday and today so I've been cleaning. I'm getting Cleaning for a reason on Thursday and I'm tidying up before they come. I'm sure I'll crash in the next day or so, I think I've done too much.

I had to pick up DS early from school today and I'm full on scarves and hats, the first time the office ladies have seen that. It was tough but I held up and they were very nice and asked how I was doing.

Grey - welcome back! Good luck with the SE's on your first infusion. You are stronger than you think!

Annie, have you tried Probiotics. It might help just clear the gut from all the meds...

HappyHi there. Just starting to feel nauseated. Back hurts but I think I just overdid it with doing some food shopping. Hope all is well.

Annie have you tried magnesium? It was my go to. My saying is pop till you poop, like one an hour. Also I ate two tablespoons of coconut oil and rubbed it on my sore bleeding butt too. And in my mouth, and on my rashes, and on my nails. They call me the coconut oil queen, but it did magic for me. It is antifungal and antibacterial.

I'm taking everyone's suggestions and going to try them all. I've done some but I'll try the others. I'm going to have to force myself to drink enough tomorrow.

I haven't written anything lately because I have been too damn sick/depressed but AnnieB43, I want you to know that every single thing you write resonates with me. I have gone through every same SE (on about the same timeline), every same negative feeling, etc. I am like a west coast version of your horrid experience.

I will catch up on everything tomorrow (once I'm able to), but I wanted to update y'all that I had to take ER trip #3 last night when the fever climbed from 100.1 to 102.7 despite being on hydrocodone and acetaminophen. I was admitted (which really should have happened on trip #1) and today has been insane.

Much love to everyone and I look forward to catching up.

    Hug

still depressed that my second AC was delayed from 10/12 to 10/19

Due to Low white blood cell count and low neutrophils.

Had neupogen and flu shot today.

On Saturday I walked 2-3 hrs in boots.

My neck hurts, low back hurts, kind of headachy

Not sure which of these to count it to.

To the sipper - goodfor you, I have read about that being a help.

My first AC didn't leave me too nauseated, so no excuse here.

Thanks to all for listening, sending prayers for the group.

I go in for a PICC tomorrow. Blech. I don't want one but I don't want to do a port for 3 more infusions. It is going to be a pain in the ass and high maintenance but I can't chance having a reaction to the chemo again. If the screw something up this time I will move doctor's offices. I am so thankful for this board. I would feel so clueless and alone.

When I cut my hair on Friday and my husband buzzed the rest I had my moments of tears. Ever since so far I have been better than I expected. I am surprising myself. I am bad at dwelling on things normally too. I have my wig but haven't gotten used to it yet. So today I went out in my chemo beanie for the first time. My husband said I didn't seem shy or bothered. I wondered if it was obvious that I am a cancer patient but I don't care. I thank you ladies for the confidence I didn't know I had.

TFox, GL with the picc. Got mine out last Fri and since it was in for 2 weeks, the tape left a red raw skin type of thing that is taking forever to go away. The tapes killed the skin cuz they have to put it on so tight. It looks like someone's knifed me! Hope you have a better time with it than I did. Remember once a week it has to be flushed and the dressing has to be changed even if it looks clean. I remember hearing that from a picc nurse and it went past my docs so I "reminded" them when I double checked when they didn't say anything. Helllllooooo? Otherwise I didn't feel anything. It was just weird lying there with the guy using an u/s as a guide to get the line to your heart area. They put this "geiger counter" on your chest which helps lead them the right way. I was both amazed and a bit scared cuz I had never had a picc before but I know people who have and they did fine.

Artista- I had a picc a couple years ago when my daughter was born and I got a bad infection. I don't remember much about the placement other than use of ultrasound. I only had it for a week. Thanks to cancer and biopsies I have discovered that my breasts and abdomen are allergic to adhesives in tapes. The rest of my body hasn't been...so far. I am sure I am quickly going to regret this. I don't trust the local doctors enough to do a port. Plus my next infusion is Friday.

Do you have any tips for keeping it dry in the shower?

ThumbsUpOk. I guess I should be happy. I just woke from passing out at 10:30pm from coming home and doing some "excessive" food shopping. I had pain my back around my left (only good kidney) for a couple of minutes then it stopped. I am not feeling sick but I had diffuse D 6 times before passing out since the infusion. A few drops of red pee then nothing else. I am not nauseated but my eyes are very dry and I have a real headache. When does the other shoe drop? I am going to call the office. I haven't eaten much. I will call the office but I feel stupid because I am calling about not being sick enough.

grey is back and in treatment!

I've been awake much of the night because the drugs I'm being given were not helping enough. At least I got some hours in bits and pieces. But my nurse went toe to toe with a doctor and got it increased! I'm about to go to sleep and wake up Friday. 😄

The upsetting thing is that my final AC was supposed to be Thursday. Obviously, since I'm in the hospital and still running a fever, that's not going to happen v I was so looking forward to having this one behind me!!

AnnieB43 - Please have your port pain checked out when you call in about your constipation.

It was funny because a lot of the nurses and my doctors came down to the infusion area because they wanted to make sure it was true that I actually was there for my infusion. They couldn't believe I was actually doing chemo.

Even if it were just one infusion, I would rather have a port than a PICC- too much trouble.

Glad I am back. I was watching over you guys, especially you Southern. I missed you all.
