My Dad is a physics and math geek. I crocheted him a blanket based on the Sierpinski's Carpet fractal pattern.

I made these ornaments for an artists' market a bit ago. They're traditional good luck charms called zongzi, usually seen at Dragon Boat Festivals. I also made the wire tree to display them.

    Hey, where my artists at?

I was recently given a beautiful floor loom. A friend of a friend was clearing out old stuff and needed to find a new home for it. Her grandfather had made it for her grandmother - and heir-loom! - but it was just collecting dust on her patio. I cleaned it up, replaced some of the strings, and it works great! I just completed my first project, a scarf to go to the previous owner for the amazing gift she gave me.

miriandra - I'm totally lacking in the artist department, but love to check in here to see what's happening. The loom is amazing and the scarf is gorgeous.

I made lampwork beads for the first time ever! They still need some finishing work, but I'm happy with how they look for a beginner.

Those are awesome!!!!! Great work and it doesn't look like a beginner's work to me.

A while back, I was gifted a lovely little floor loom. A friend of mine said, "So, you're making me a rug, right?" She's getting married this weekend, so choosing a gift was easy. The rags are silk I brought back with me from Korea. My cat approves.
