OMG, can someone please tell me how long the zits last?? I went into the shower this morning with nothing major, and came out with a chin full of acne! Does it ever pack up and go away? Or am I stuck with this for another 10 weeks?

I had my 4th treatment Saturday and my hair is starting to go. I am shedding more than my Springer Spaniel. lol Besides a rumbling tummy and shaky hands I feel pretty good. Last time it was Sunday that I felt very tired. I will see what happens tomorrow. The Gold Bond cream seems to have taken care of the itchiness on the top of my hands.
I had a really fun day today. Some friends took me to The Fairgrounds to watch horse racing and wiener dog racing. The dogs were so funny, Then we went to Liuzza for dinner. I pigged out with a fried catfish and shrimp platter. It felt good to get out of the house for something not doctor related.

Yesterday was 2nd AC! Actually haven't napped all day today. My 7 (almost 8 in less than a month) year old daughter got her colored! Still just losing strands no clumps so my stylist didn't want to buzz it but she says I can come back if/when it gets bad and she'll take care of it!
Chomped on crushed ice during both drugs. Took 1 compazine when I got home after eating some late lunch then one before bed. Woke up feeling well just like last time. My infusion nurse said the side effects should basically be the same and only the fatigue would worsen. I goevery 2 weeks and my bad days were Monday and Tuesday. My Neulasta button dispensed around 5pm. I'll take my Claritin or zyrtec which I do every night for my allergies. To dry up a Runny nose I take chlortrimeton! I have chronic runny nose and post nasal drip. If I don't dry it up at night I end up with a sore throat or no voice

You can see the purple better here! And the scratches on her nose are courtesy of a snowball thrown by her older brothe

Praline- so glad you were able to get out for some fun!
hausfrau- so cute. You're looking great!

MLP3 - I think my daughter will get there. Her one friend who knows about me thinks it's cool. 😎
reflect- love you you. Yes, sounds right for day 9 to me. My list looks like yours. I may spoil myself and opt for a cleaner for some spring cleaning jobs. Just once.
imani- you will have to know your WBC count for certain. Do you get blood work day before treatment? Team is very clear with me about my Neupogen injections. 8 day regimen starting on Day 2, no skipping and same time daily. Maybe it's due to my high risk of dropping too low to even have my treatment. That said, I've been out lately surrounded by colds and even strep and am fine.
Nolagirl - oh no! Hasn't happened to me yet. Can you use anything to help? I'm sorry. I've heard of dermatological issues before. Hope it clears for you.
asher- I did have taste bud issues after steroids and a couple days after treatment. It went back to normal and even wanting more food! Just ask my jeans !!
Praline - sounds glorious!!! Love it!

Hausfrau - so pretty! your daughter is adorable. you do look fabulous.
This is me and my heart Friday evening before her first Girl Guide sleep over and my first bald buzz photo with her she is my amazing grace.

Piper--you both look lovely!!! Having young kids definitely helps to keep my spirits up! I can't mope for too long when they are around. And Sydney is super sassy....to put it mildly-- so always smiling or laughing if she is involved!

Heidi, I got the socks on Amazon:
NatraCure Cold Therapy Socks (Small/Medium) (A705-CAT)
from NatraCureand I just used ice packs from Rite-aid that have a cover with straps that I rolled around my hands. I like them better then mitts so I can slip my hands out to grab some ice chips easily too. I stopped at 7/11 on the way and got a cup of crushed ice that lasted the hour during the Taxotere. Everything I read on the boards said you really only need to do it during Taxol/Taxotere..also confirmed that with the nurses at the center so it wasn't too bad.
So I'm starting to get nervous..lol! I'm 2 days out from my 2nd round and I feel really good. I think the bad SEs started day 4 last time so it might just be the steroids keeping me happy. But of course now I'm worried the chemo isn't working....

Haus- such a cute picture! I love the color on both you and your daughter.
Piper- she's adorable!
Reflect- I bought a nylon, zip up organizer with many pockets in it. I labeled them for bills, MRI, CT Scan, labs, chemo, appts, etc... Really helps keep things in one place.
Imani- I'm on AC every 3 weeks with no neulasta. Knock on wood I've stayed healthy.
Nola- I had 2 nice pimples pop up and then nothing after that. On my chin too. That's the area for hormonal breakouts and aware forced into menopause with chemo, if we weren't in it to begin with.
Praline- sounds like you had a wonderful day with your friends!
Since we are sharing pics of our daughters... This was from this past Wednesday as I travelled to see her play. That's my wig, btw;) She just scored her 100th collegiate goal yesterday! And the team wore pink ribbons on their cleats for me💗

Hi everyone, I am trying to fight back. I thought this round was going well. Monday was chemo and it's Sunday and I feel like my stomach is being ripped apart. Everything tastes like metal, so a huge loss of appetite. So tired and dizzy. The only thing that makes me feel better is looking at this sweet note my youngest put up so I could see.
Hang in there everyone and just Breathe ~

hang in there Frances! It should get better. We have great kids don't we...?😊

Hope you feel better soon Frances. I started to come out of the fog on day 10 after the second treatment, but didn't really feel properly normal until day 12. You can do it, just rest, drink plenty of water, let everyone look after you and take it easy. Some days are really hard aren't they but each day brings us closer to the day we will feel fine again.
Lots of Love to everyone who is struggling today, and to everyone else! XX
PS nice to see all your gorgeous girls

Such beautiful daughters, Ladies! I'll send a pic of my Valery next.
Frances- that is the sweetest note ever. Keep your eye on it and believe it!
My mouth is raw...I definitely think I need to drink more water...it just tastes so weird.

Back atcha Scotbird.
Frances- so sorry. Hang in there. I hope it passes soon.
LOVING seeing all the daughters / grandkids. They are our love and light, no? All so beautiful! Thanks for starting that Hausfrau. This is my other hero. Sharing because no matter how strong I am he has been my pillar of strength and advocate when I couldn't be. My carer when sick and weak. He saved my life by mentioning my lump to the GP. We have a video conference today with MO team. Something has come up with my right breast as well. I'm worried. I will be okay though.

Hope you start feeling better Frances! I am a week out from my second and am waiting for that day too! No strange tastes (yet) but definitely tired and weak.
Love all the pics of your kids. My son is 25 and has been a huge help to me.
Jill, I live in Oakville and our Chemo treatment looks pretty much the same. One more FEC then I start Doxetaxel for 3 treatments with my Hercepton.
This is my son and I at Garth Brooks last year! We were to go to 2 shows in March but my dx changed that plan.
We both have matching hairlines these days

Piper, hang in there girl! Sending you lots of hugs and strength.
Love seeing all the family pix! Your kids are all so beautiful!
So no SEs this round other than being pretty tired. What a difference from last round! I think the Drs suggestion of taking something the minute I don't feel good I'd definitely paying off. No nausea, reflux or the big D this time. Feeling pretty good! Hope you all are too

very nice Karen!! nice to meet you Hanley. LTF those nails! Gorgeous.
Myraknits - thank you. My hero hubby (pictured above) will be with me. We have notes. Good to hear this round going well. I take anti nauseants constantly the first 8 to 10 days.

Good Morning All! Opening up the page to see all these beautiful children made my day! We all are so truly blessed and although the situation we are all in really does suck, hopefully we will all walk away stronger women and will always remember to not take anything for granted!
I am a week and a half out from Round 2 and feeling pretty good, pretty much feeling back to my normal self. What is killing me the worse is the fatigue!!!!! My aunt calls is Chemo Tiered...I can sleep for hours, probably for days, and you wake up and an hour later feel the same exact tiered all over again! Damn you Chemo Tiered!
I have been doing the Cold Capping and had some massive shedding for about 10 days and now it has pretty much stopped. I have some definite thinning above my ears but I think I notice more than anyone else would notice, plus if I wear my hair down no one can notice. So far I am very pleased with the results and hoping the results continue.
Also, I am in the process of starting a blog that I am really excited about! As a 32 year old female I found it hard to find information and support in the breast cancer community of people my age, so I am hoping my blog will provide young women that support in the future as well as be a place where women of all ages can come and feel they are not alone. I'll keep you ladies updated on the progress!
Have a great day ladies! xoxo Oh had you add a pic of my beautiful ladies...Ava is 9 and Peyton is now 17 months.

Hi Everyone, I LOVE the PICS. So inspiring. you are all so beautiful and your stories and family are wonderful. So last night was truly the worst night of my life!~ in the bathroom from 11-4am throwing up and the big D. my abdomen just hurts like it is being ripped out from the inside. It has been hurting the whole week even with all the meds. called the Onc and headed to the emergency room for some testing as they say this is not normal to throw up a week later with such pain. I cant eat or drink anything.
so here we go lets hope that they figure this out. I don't think I can continue this if not~! trying to breathe..
