@mara51506 You are always busy! Because of you I bought a wee washer to wash my unmentionables that get soiled…yeah you know. I should have asked for a recommendation from you but it seemed to work well enough. It is better than me having to hand wash them. Anyways, my DH made pancakes while I learned the washer. My DGD has another cold…ughh!… so I will try to avoid her. I seem to lose ground with every cold and just can't afford to keep doing that. So my other task today is sanitizing everything…again.

I got my Walmart order, got everything ordered, a few frozen things, planning as said before to heat up in the microwave. Pulled on swedish meat ball thing and the veggie stir fry. Accidentally pick up canned potatoes. I will figure out what to do with those later. Got more meat pies and the dozen eggs I wanted. Saved 10.00 on the order too since I use the Walmart black rewards card so that was a good savings.
I chose to heat up one of the swedish meatballs and a package of stir fry veggies as well, once they cool down, I will put them in the fridge and stretch each for some extra meals which would be good. Stir fry is 1.224 and swedish meatball meal is 2.58 and it reminds me of stroganoff which is nice. By heating them up, I can leave in the fridge for a couple of days and use them with other stuff. Make it easier to make stuff I would be too lazy to make. Tonight could include chicken pot pie I got today and a spoonful of the swedish meatballs and some of the stirfry as well. Plan to split both meals up into more than one as well. Not sure what to do with the canned potatoes, might chop up with croutons or chips that I have then heat with eggs later on, not sure yet.

Hello ladies, for all the birthdays I’ve missed , anniversaries, good news, any needed support. I am sorry I was gone off into misery land. When I had left I had lost my best friend Chelle. It was a terrible blow to me and I was having issues without her. On October 31,st my dd was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer, in both breasts. She had to have. Like 6 biopsies three different Times because of dense breasts. She has 6 chemo appointments she is her 2+. I am her2 - She has the braca 2 so has to have both breasts removed. She had to freeze her eggs just in case something went wrong with her ovaries. They wanted 8000$ to perform the procedure. She received a shot to shut her ovaries down after they harvested 29 eggs thanks to a women’s grant. She’s also been granted the pax man hair system. This thing works, it’s awful but it works. It’s like a little torture chamber. It freezes your head literally. She has number 5 next Tuesday and thank goodness she has her entire hair. Still. Pain is unbearable . They don’t tell you how bad it really is . So after chemo is done she faces surgery and reconstruction. More pain. More suffering. She is 29…..💔💔 when I heard this news along with losing my mother. And my neice over dosing it was all just too much. I’m scanning in March. So that is more fun. To be had. I thought about you all and will catch up when I can. Thanks for not forgetting me. Mara. I know you’re her 2+ I’d like to chat with you for some information. Mae also. Is she’s available soon. Lots of love.

Hey @cookie54 I haven’t updated you. Here’s what’s been going on with me these last 2 weeks.I had my last follow up with Dr Daknis the pain management neurologist 2 weeks ago to schedule another Epidural injection in my Cervical spine in neck. C7 - C5 vertebrae. 👆On that follow up he told me he wanted me to consult with the Neurosurgeon for a surgical procedure which would stop the need for injections. Well Brett, left there panicked at the thought of a neck surgery because of my bone mets cancer
So I saw my Oncologist Tuesday for treatment and stated all my fears about having any invasive surgery to bone because of my dental surgery restrictions due to my bone treatment medication “Xgeva “ at the John Theurer Cancer Center in Hackensack every month.
If I opt for any dental surgery in the jawbone I have to schedule it after stopping Xgeva treatment
For 3 months before and stay off the Xgeva 3. Months after, which means I would be off the. Monoclonal antibody med,Xgeva for 6 months which would be a long interruption from my bone chemo for the mets. The reason they recommend no dental surgery while on Xgeva is bone necrosis to the jaw. So in my mind I was fearing osteo necrosis for my neck and might have to go off the treatment injection for 6 months.
I discussed all this with my oncologist and was assured that the neck procedure would not interfere with the same outcomes in jawnecrosis. There are 4 different minor surgical procedures a neurosurgeon can do on the cervical spine. So my oncologist gave me a blessing to discuss it with the neurosurgeon if I want to do the surgery it would be safe with no risk to my bone cancer. So I went for my last injection with Dr. Daknis yesterday… and it’s always a positive experience with nurses , Dr, and anesthesiologist fussing over me to make me comfy.. they get me all ready to go into a surgical room with ultrasound camera equipment, oxygen and other monitors. The nurses are so loving and funny. They roll me off the gurney onto a Chiropractor type table that is totally layered with pillows and sheets and the hole where you put your face. Once I get onto that table and get my face in the opening one nurse makes sure I am very comfy and says well I’m going to close the back of your gown so your ass isn’t showing your pretty underwear to the doctor 😊. Then Dr Connolly, the anesthesiologist injects the. Sedative and anesthetic into the IV and I’m totally relaxed and drowsy. Dr.Injects. The lidocaine & cortisone into C-7 -C5 with the aid of a fluorescope about 5 minutes it’s done. Then they bring me back to have coffee and lornadoons then they take me down in a wheelchair to my loving Pinky waiting in the car. And that is my neck Epidural experience every single time. Easy Peasy. At least until the anesthesia wears off😴😉
All done ready for coffee and Lorna doones the

good morning Lovlies, I’ve been skimming hrs all your comments.
@mara51506 Happy got your good scan results and yay for English Muffins
@illimae Yes it is so old everywhere and glad you are. Enjoying poolside in Florida🌴

@irishlove Oh I love seeing those wild daffodils this time of year. I’ve been itching to get outside and plan my container garden strategy, thinking of planting Calla Lillie’s this spring in asssorted colors.
@intolight, Yes I love the Spring. sorry it snowed by you to ruin your spring dreaming😉

@micmel I am very sorry to hear what your daughter and you are going through, that is a lot to deal with at the same time. I am in both of your pockets and please ask me anything you want to know about HER 2+ cancer. I will do my best to answer, either in here or in a PM, I will check that on the daily to see and I do not mind giving my experience in this comment thread as well. Only thing I cannot help about is the coolcap, I did not use it during systemic chemo so in her pocket for the cold head.
Intolight, hope you enjoy the wee washer you got. I do find it handy for small stuff or extra if I decide to fill up the big washer and the repaired one both of which still live in the tub. I find I mostly use the 20.00 ones because they stand up and fold down well and only stick one lint filter in. It gets used beside the bathroom sink. I hope it helps you with handwashing stuff.
I slept pretty well last night, sent myself off to sleep with dreams I like to have and the sleep mask still works for me.
I still have laundry to do, I started yesterday and did not finish it so will just redo it all, no bother to me. Takes so little detergent to get it clean it is amazing. Have some drying so my place smells really good.
I am not sure what food I want to have, the swedish meat balls mixed with some stir fry yesterday was very good, I did those with garlic. Today thinking I will combine some of the veggie stir fry with some rice, beans and cheese. Later I will have eggs and more cheese. Possibly with some of the swedish meat ball dish. I tend to season with garlic and sour cream and onion seasoning most as well, makes everything taste extra good. Cheese is also good for me as well and really enjoyable.
I am making some money watching a video with goldens Tucker and Todd so get paid when ads come up. These are my favourite dogs to watch when earning money for ads.
No other plans today, need a quick mop, sweep and vacuum through my wee apartment after breakfast and not sure what else. I did get a blower thing that I saved up for, it is going to be used to blast dust on a daily basis and dust can then be vacuumed or mopped up. Would be easier to do that on the daily and remove things for a more thorough dusting once a week. I also think that stuff would look better as well being dusted on the daily.
I hope everyone has a good day, in pockets for everyone who needs me and available for any questions that people might have about HER 2+.

Micmel, I’m free anytime. I hate this for you and your daughter but I’m glad she’s getting through it.

Shana - I haven't heard or thought about Lorna Doones in ages and ages! I used to love those, and so did my kids. Wouldn't have known they still made them. What an ordeal with your neck issue. Really good though that surgery won't affect anything to do with bones/Xgeva. I'm glad I had the talk with a neurosurgeon re my fracture issues, and we decided I didn't need any surgery at this point. It was well worth the time to go over everything in detail and look at and weigh all the risks and benefits, so I would highly recommend at least the initial consultation. Best of luck, for sure.

@shanagirl Well I am relieved for you that youR MO gave you the green light for cervical procedures to relieve your pain. I totally get it, I took my DH for lumbar injections for years and he also loved his ginger ale and lorna doone cookies lol. Nice to hear your found a great surgical staff that gives you the vip treatment. Love the photo too! Hope your feeling pain relief today.

@micmel Oh Mel, it literally felt like a punch in my chest when I read what your DD and you are going thru. It hurts so much to hear this. Mel I have 2 DD’s my youngest is 37 and has been unsuccessfully been achieving pregnancy with her husband. My heart aches for her over this. my. Oldest DD is 48 and was never able to to conceive accept on time which ended in miscarriage. She was devastated, and sadly her marriage didn’t survive. Mel a mother can never. Be happy when her daughter suffers because we suffer right along with them. I can’t even imagine the pain you are feeling for your girl, only 29. What’s happening today with our daughters? So much infertility and breast cancer appearing younger and younger.. It has been a major. fear I’ve had for so long, worrying about my girls getting cancer. It’s a fear that is in my mind and heart. daily and part if my own dark mood many days…….Sending you & DD sincere empathy and Caring thoughts.🥹💓

Good morning Monday 🥰
I hope the weekend was peaceful and went well for everyone. @mara51506 I’m glad you got some good sleep and rest with sweet dreams.
@threetree, it had been years since I enjoyed Lorna Doones, than I had a nice surprise last year at the Cancer center I go to and they had a whole tray of them wrapped 4 in a package. I grabbed them and they never changed in taste, then when I was going for my Epidurals I always asked for them with my coffee following the procedure, and they always have them there too at the Surgi Center. So I looked for them at ShopRite and there they were, in box of pre-packaged 4 cookies and now I try to keep them in the house but have cut down on snacking on them because they are easy to binge on.😉
@micmel You are in my heart today. ♥️
@gailmary @illimae @intolight @rlschaller @candy-678 @chicagoan @mkestrel @cookie54 @irishlove @weninwi @sondraf @seeq @sf-cakes @snow-drop and all my lady friends here, wishing you all so lovely day today, the sun is shining brightly and my goal is to take a walk with the dogs by the beach today🐾🌊on the boardwalk

Oh Mel, I am so very sorry for the heartbreaking news about your DD’s diagnosis at such a young age :/// I couldn’t stop crying when I read your post… for sure, mothers don’t want this for their kids, it's double the pain. thank you for taking the time to share it with us. It’s just too much to take for one person. please know that you are loved here as is your DD. triple-positive cancers definitely have successful treatments, and I’m positive that your DD will get through this rocky path and be cured very soon 💓
sending the biggest hugs to you and your DD 💕
Thanks, ladies, for remembering me and tagging me, Xeloda has definitely kicked my behind, but at some point, I'd like to think that it’s also kicking those unwanted tumors-amen.

“Good Morning lovely ones, Ugh what a horrible night I had when I went bed. Coughed non stop all night, felt like I was drowning in my own lung fluid., kept peeing all night too. I ended up taking a sudafed, robutussin, and one of the hydrocodone opioids my Neurologist gave me for the cervical neck procedure he did, Friday .
I’ve been through This. 3 times since October., I get so sick and achy & chills, some times vomiting,. But Ladies, I’m asking you if you think it might be a cumulative Side Effect from the combined daily Verzenio, Fasoldex and Exgeva injections. Today. I feel like I was hit by a truck., It’s been 2 weeks ago today since I had the Fasoldex & Xgeva injections.. has anyone here experienced this guys?
Pocket Duty today Girls 🩵

Shana - I do cough after my Faslodex shots, and I ache all over as well. I got my last ones 2 weeks ago and just over the last couple of days, have I started to feel more "normal" (not good, but my usual "not-so-great"). I can get a little nausea too, and that might equate with your vomiting, if you get similar symptoms, but just maybe a bit different or worse in some ways. I know you get your Faslodex and Xgeva at the same time, and I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I only ever got my Zometa and Faslodex at the same time once - last January, and I think it might have been a bit worse than when I get them separately. I know many are fine with it though. I've also noticed that the longer I take the Faslodex (almost 2 years now), the longer it seems to take for those stronger side effects that come right after the shots, to die down. I used to need a few days and now it's closer to 2 weeks. I don't know if Xgeva would be similar in that way - they are drugs with similar effects. Just my thoughts and 2 cents. I too would be interested to see what others have to say. I'm real sorry about your extra bad night, and hope that you have a much better day today. Hug.

start Claritin into your medicine regimen. Especially where xgeva or a nulasta shot.

I slept well last night, it was warmer than usual and a lot of snow has melted. Guess we are into the warm up, freeze and then another warm up stage of winter. I turned off the extra heat as well. Boiler working just fine to keep it warm. You know you are in Canada when you can turn on the AC in the morning and then turn on the heat in the evening.
Totally missed CT appointment yesterday but was able to rebook CT for tomorrow. Was lucky enough to get Paratransit as well. It will have me arrive a little late but no other rides available. It should be OK BUT if it is not OK, will simply leave for the MO to rebook. Putting reminders on the tv and making more of an effort to look at my calendar. Now I just need to stop beating myself up for missing an appointment. I am working on it.
I am having meat pies for breakfast, 2 mini pot pies. Later have a chopped bean, rice and cheese meal. I am choosing to get rid of the english muffin, I do not have any desire to eat them up and bought at Costco about 3 weeks ago so while they are not moldy, they do not appeal to me.
Laundry was started after all the calls and will finish that. I will probably go to bed early, probably will not sleep so early but easier to get up. I will also put out my garbage. Easier now snow has melted. Lots of it as well.
I do hope everyone has a good day, in pockets for anyone who needs me as well.

Wow, taking garbage out is hard, only 1 of 3 bags done, face red and overheated. Oh well, 545 will see the next one go out and the last one is the lightest.
3 -
Well, got the last two out at the same time huffing and puffing but it is done, leaving recyclables, can address that next week. Need to keep bags light to take out, heavy does not work for me at all. I almost tripped but managed to rescue myself.

Hi all you lovely gals. Mel I am so devastated for you and your sweet DD. You've had so much heartache lately that I pray this will be lifted from both of you very soon.
Hi everyone. I'll have to make this short. My DS and DDIL just called me from a hospital in Charlotte. They were riding their brand new Harley and were hit. Driver didn't stop for 2 blocks. Mikey was unconscience for 5 minutes. They are watching his numbers due to injury to his spleen. He has broken ribs, possibly back. Erin has road rash but its more lucid. Both are stable. I just can't sleep worried sick. So far they are stable. We'll know more in a.m. when doctors come on duty. When we were hanging up the phone I said "I love you buddy" and he said "I love you Mama", just at the same time. OH my son….please pray for him. In pockets for all my sweet friends.

Shana girl sorry you had such awful side effects after treatment. I do take galore. I am in bed for at least 24 hours after shot. I’m off the zometa sometimes I got them on same day. Double whammy. I think all of these medications are cumulative ses.
Mel awful to hear about your DD. I’m in your pocket as you both get through this.
Sendin hugs and support. How’s Theo? I hope he’s loving you both up with lots of wags and kissesIrish in your pocket for your DS and DIL. Such a scary call. I pray they are both well today with no lasting injury.
Mara sorry you missed your appointment. It happens sometimes. We have so many to juggle. You got it rescheduled so that’s good. I dislike the garbage chore too.
Sending peace
Tanya

Irish - praying for your DS & DIL that they will recover quickly. It seems like mommas are handed extra burdens to bear in this group. I hope you get some comforting news today once the doctor assessments are made. Pocket duty for you, Mel and anyone else in need.

Irish, I am so sorry to hear about the accident for your DS and DDIL on the motorcycle. I am in pockets for you and the both of them and I hope the driver was identified so he can get punished and his insurance pay their medical costs. Hugs going out to you all.
Mel, you are still on my mind as well, sending support to you and DD and the rest of your family.
Well, finished getting ready for pickup, hopefully arriving a few minutes late won't exclude me. It was the earliest ride I could book when booking the day before. Have to remember that I will need to book Friday for MO appointment monday next week.
My body was not allowing for sleep so instead of not eating through the night, made a couple of meals and I actually do not feel bad, normally I would not eat but figured, had to finish eating early in the day so I had a couple of noodle meals. Also have a digestive enzyme and immodium in case I finish early and feel hungry.
No chores yet but I will say I love the blower thing I bought for use dusting, yes I do need to vacuum or sweep soon after but I have not noticed such clean fans or windows, even blew the compressed air into my air conditioner. Horrifying what comes out but it is a very strong burst of air, cats really do hate it though as it is loud.
No other food thoughts for now, post later if I have anything different than usual.
I hope everyone has a good day, in pockets for Irish, Mel and anyone who needs me.
