    Hi SuperDayz,

Just to update you and others here, I went to a surgeon today and after reading my US report, he diagnosed me with fibrocystic disease. He did a full poke on both my breasts and left underarm but no lumps found.. he said my cysts are too small to be of concern but definitely causing pain. So he said I had to avoid all caffeines, coffee, tea, chocolates, and sodas. My shoulder neck arm pain though, he said its unrelated. He gave me meds for nerve. Hope it takes all my pain away .. If it doesn't then I will do an MRI for my neck and shoulder.

I'm praying all goes out well to you too. Fibrocystic is really hard. He never mentioned me about the vitamins that I should take.. Is vitamin E really good

I heard from my doctor and the MRI had no abnormalities, I am sure for those of you following this would already know that that would be the answer. I accept that this is not cancer and I have to move on however this has been a complete freaking torturous mind game that I am still reeling from. My dr told me about my option attributing my symptom's to fibromyalgia and that it is causing referred pain to my breast. He talked about acupuncture or injections and he said he did not believe I have fibrocystic breasts. I am sitting here angry and crying because I am still I disbelief of this whole ordeal and that I still have to find the true answer to my pain, my symptom's that have been so severe at times, and my own emotions about breast cancer from watching two of my aunts battle late stage BC have also been wrapped up in all of this. I have to just step away, I cant believe fibrocystic breasts or fibromyalgia could do this, or whatever it is behind all this mess. When I said I was sure I had cancer was because I fully meant it, my symptoms have been so out of the ordinary for so long and I was tired of all the dx my drs were giving me and just had this nagging feeling something was terribly wrong. I thought for sure my first ultra sound missed it. But I guess I am the example that you could have everything go wrong in your breast and benign changes could be at fault. I do feel foolish for causing such ruckus with my conviction. I would still like to hang around and learn as much as I can and get genetic testing and any other information I can pass on to my sister and cousins as I know now we are high risk.

Thank you all for your patience above all else, your kindness, and your support. It was great to have this space during this time that I can count on for answers and encouragement.

    Hi Clarebarez,

I am glad you were able to get an answer to some of your pain- I have heard vitamin E and evening primrose oil are good supplements.

Lymphatic massage is also really good to relieve soreness and tenderness. Hope your symptoms alleviate with time.

    Hi SuperDayz

Good to know your MRI is clear !

I agree, it is really scary. I feel the same, even though I had some relieving answers today, I'm still not sure why my neck and shoulder is still constantly aching. It's been one and half month already. I have read that shoulder pain is a referred pain from some serious illness so I'm still freaking out. I'm actually scared of doing the MRI, I don't know why. (lol)

I'm also scared of doing the mammogram because it might be painful for me with small breast :(

Thank u, I will try to get some vitamin E

I think you can relax a bit now, knowing you have no BC based from all your tests. Observe your other pains and if still persists then go see a surgeon, it might be a referred pain from some other illness

I am glad you got the all clear on the breast cancer front, truly I am.

You might look into accupuncture--it's often recommended with the various pains that come after surgery and also for stress. No first hand experience but I know others on these boards have used it to great effect, so that's something to keep in mind.

SuperDayz- hooray & congrats, although I know it will take you some time to adjust to the reality.

Acupuncture is a good idea. Like I posted elsewhere, cut out all caffeine and see if it makes a difference. It made an enormous difference for me. I was able to go back to occasional chocolates and even a cup of coffee w/desert sometimes after I was positive all the resitual effects were out of my system.

I had no symptoms with breast cancer or kidney cancer. Pain is only a reliable indicator for telling you something is wrong, not WHY. I think you should start looking at the section of this forum for benign breast conditions; somebody there might have ideas for you. Good luck!

SuperDayz, I can understand how you feel. When a person is feeling terrible and having dreadful symptoms it just makes sense to feel that something is horribly wrong. I have an autoimmune disorder that causes me a lot of pain and other symptoms, like debilitating exhaustion. When I have a flare up of this disease it sometimes literally feels like I'm going to die. To think that this illness is really "mild" in the realm of disease is bizarre to me, not to mention the fact that I received FAR more sympathy and concern over my cancer, which caused me no symptoms at all. I encourage you to try some of the suggestions posted here, hopefully you'll get at least partial relief from your symptoms.

I can’t believe it been almost 5 years and I am still dealing with this mess. In a much better mental health space but for anyone reading this read my other posts to get a full picture in case you are struggling like me and have autoimmune issues that complicate things.
