And perfectly legal to say the least.

I have been wondering if any other celebrity endorsements would come out for Harris. Would you call her a celebrity or a political celebrity or what? I like that this story includes a photo of her actively campaigning and wearing Harris gear. A visual is always a great addition to a statement..
George W. Bush's Daughter Barbara Breaks Silence on Election to Campaign is ifor Kamala Harris (Exclusive)Barbara Pierce Bush tells PEOPLE she's "hopeful" that voters will back Harris on Nov. 5 to "protect women's rights"
Updated on October 29, 2024
Barbara Pierce Bush, the daughter of former President George W. Bush and granddaughter of former President George H.W. Bush, spent part of her weekend in Pennsylvania campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris with just days to go before the 2024 presidential election.
"It was inspiring to join friends and meet voters with the Harris-Walz campaign in Pennsylvania this weekend," Barbara, 42, shares in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE on Tuesday, Oct. 29. "I’m hopeful they'll move our country forward and protect women’s rights."
Barbara’s Republican father served as president from 2001 to 2009. Her mother, former first lady Laura Bush, 77, broke with the party’s stance in 2010 by saying she supports same-sex marriage and abortion. At the time, Laura said abortion should "remain legal, because I think it's important for people, for medical reasons and other reasons."

In March 2017, Barbara rallied for Planned Parenthood, speaking at a fundraiser for the women’s health nonprofit.
“I am proud to stand with Planned Parenthood not only because women, regardless of where they are from, deserve to live dignified, healthy lives, [but] … because it’s a really good investment,” she said at the event, according to The Texas Tribune. “We know that when women are healthy, their families and their children are healthier, too.”
Barbara, now a mother of two, told PEOPLE in 2010 that she does not identify with either major political party, and has since been described as an independent.
While Laura and George, 78, have not weighed in on the 2024 presidential election, George’s vice president Dick Cheney stunned the nation by sharing that he plans to vote for Harris. Cheney’s daughter, former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, also endorsed Harris, 60, and has campaigned with the vice president.
»> »> Harris also earned the endorsement of Susan Ford Bales, the daughter of another former Republican president — the late Gerald Ford. Bales' father took office after Richard Nixon resigned in the aftermath of Watergate in 1974.
“America cannot regress back to a divisive paradigm of loathing toward one another and disdain for our Constitution,” Bales wrote on Oct. 21. “We witnessed on January 6 the horrors of what that looks like, and we can never allow a repeat of that tragedy.”
Barbara is a nonprofit leader and author with a master's in public administration from Harvard University. In 2009, she co-founded Global Health Corps, an organization aiming to raise up new generations of leaders who can tackle global health issues.

A woman once told me that she did not feel the need to reach out to those around her because she prayed every day. Surely, this was enough. But a prayer is about our relationship to God; a blessing is about our relationship to the spark of God in one another. God may not need our attention as badly as the person next to us on the bus or behind us in line in the supermarket. Everyone in the world matters, and so do their blessings. When we bless others, we offer them refuge from an indifferent world. -Rachel Naomi Remen

So glad you are back and contributing again Divine. I am glad some "Bushes" are making it known who they will support. It is outstanding that former Dubya's VP has come on so strong. I never liked Mr. Cheney, and I know for the most part would not care as yet, but I have to say hats up for standing up not just for the Harris 'Walz' ticket, but what is structurally and so highly morally and ethically correct.
It seems every succeeding election has become more and more important. Just ridding ourselves of FG in 2020 was critical but seemed the answer. Now here we are again. Even much more critical. Now it is not only saving ourselves but democracy itself.
So, I'm so glad Barbara and others who we might not have expected are standing up and saying a very loud NO to FG and his ilk.

It has always been difficult for me to "get" the need to dress your politics and to make a spectacle of yourself, yet these people seem to find some perverse enjoyment of parading what to me is pure ignorance.

Well past time to take out the garbage and be rid of it permanently.

I can assure you that there are millions of people who do not believe you.

Sitting here and as usual — only listened to news this morning during coffee. Actually, I'm not really sure how much I absorb since I neither hear nor see well till the coffee flows for a it. I did seem to hear that as usual its a pretty much tie everywhere. This yr. very much in particular I have no faith at all in polls. In fact, it is I'm given to understand mainly the same people over and over who have consented to 'take' polls.
I still as well find it strange that all the endorsements, letters from people high up, including Reps. judges and others giving VP Harris the nod, and all the hard work that I know has gone on — not to mention the monetary side of things and the extreme enthusiasm — and these two people are still neck and neck. So, I'm back to wondering if it's the fact that only certain people will allow the people who do polling to call them.
Do we actually have any idea where all of this is. That said — there are those internal polls but I really don't think THAT is being shared. So, what will really happen on V-day — that is Nov 5th. I sure don't know but wish I did. I do however feel things are more positive than negative for us.
Not only just due to FG although that might be enough, but just as much his handlers, a good deal of other spineless Reps. because in some cases it seems to me these reps. are locked in place. They no longer know how to turn away. To say no or to even try to save FG is not them. They have been saturated with having to stick up for and accept as their own so much that is putrid and somewhat evil that I don't think they even recognize themselves anymore. They don't feel evil but they are. They don't feel wrong, but I certainly believe they are and if indeed there is a Reps. party left I wonder if it is possible for some of them to once again be a part of it- because there certainly would have to be very major changes.
There is going to be so much meaning in this coming election for many things besides the winning candidate. Part of me feels some minor dread, but the other part wants to break out — celebrate and wallow in a huge sense of relief.

What a great idea — after all the 'garbage' talk lately about the U.S. and Puerto Rico — a garbage truck with your name on it and garbage man clothing. I will say though — FG loves to see his logo/name on so many things. Way to go and so what if Democrats see this as just BETTER for them.

Nailed that one.

Ha! I am somehow able to get on today! We've enjoyed checking out a charming old coastal town in Maryland, which is happily filled with Harris/Walz signs.....a nice change from what I see at home!

Julia Roberts voiced a fantastic ad encouraging women to vote their conscience, even if it's not how their husbands want. And of course, the GOP men are going ballistic over how dare women even consider thinking for themselves. One of the best comments from the article was Liz Cheney calling Charlie Kirk a twit. 🤣

Used your link Miriandra. I'm a huge fan of Julia Roberts and real hee-haws on Charlie Kirk being a twit — which he is. You know, Liz Cheney put her foot on the gas and has never once taken if off. She's not really one of us and we know it, but I am so glad for her determination to keep democracy as alive and as well as she can. We are indeed quite fortunate to have people in our corner who don't agree so much with us — save for this sort of thing.
