Heard earlier this morning that FG plans to start the tariffs on day one — for Mexico, China and Canada. We get a lot of gas from Canada — so all the good prices we are seeing now will soon no longer be. No wonder people are upset with the un-thinking, or indifferent to getting the REAL facts before one submits their vote. I do think those people googling was doing so for some other reason.
Doesn't matter, we are going to all suffer and it is truly maddening. Obviously, the vote is a reflection of people who thought FG would bring down prices. Interestingly, the people I've heard so far talking are Reps. who 'claimed' to be struggling now — so when FG gets done I hope these dame Reps. will know just who exactly sent prices even higher.
The Reps. do have a habit of putting blame on others, but harder this time with all three branches taking care of them. I do feel sorrow for my BIL who is Reps. He had leukemia which had gone into remission and now is back. Found early enough, but he is in need of a lot of radiation, and he has no idea how he will pay for it. He bragged about his Med. Advantage plan, but guess it was the wrong one. He now says his Ins. is great, but in order for him to maintain that stance he has to stay well and he now is not. Trouble for him is that he has looked high and low for bargain rates on things — and now there will be no bargains. Even when he got better rates, rather than try and save money he treated himself to goodies — much of which was just that. Things he could do without.
So, I do wonder how these next few months (including once FG formally takes office) are going to actually play out. I know it won't be good, but we have done a lot of focusing on the things that FG will make very bad decisions about and not so much about how long he might actually be there.
Oddly the media says little if anything about where FG is, but he is not 'strutting' around as he has in the past. He also cancelled many of his last outings for his campaign. So, there are things that are NOT being told, even if known by anyone in the media. First they by-pass any of his minor and major shortcomings, making all the negatives they knew how for VP Harris. Now when there is SOMETHING to really know about FG we are hearing nothing at all.
So, I do question just how long he may be left at the helm. It is scary to think about yet at the same time I do wonder even if it is a bad four yrs. if it ends up quite as bad as all the scenario's we have spent so much time worrying about. If indeed he is unable for some reason to be out and about. He writes on social media but that is his people assigned to do so and not him, as it is announcements for Cabinet picks and other things of that ilk. Just things I've wondered about.
