Finding the center of strength within ourselves is in the long run the best contribution we can make to our fellow people. . . One-person with indigenous inner strength exercises a great calming effect on panic among people around them.  This is what our society needs--not new ideas and inventions; important as these are, and not geniuses and supermen, but persons who can "be", that is, persons who have a center of strength within themselves. Running our country into the ground like he ran his own businesses for sure — especially with his pick of Cabinet etc.

I think I've heard now in a couple of different places that a lot of his picks are simply those he has had recent contact (though some are long-standing as well) with and are of course, some of the very worst (or in his mind best at tearing up) what he wants out of his way. He was not interested one whit in presidential duties the first time around and didn't mean a word of the oath he took. This is more of the same with more twists. I know it will be rough, but I do think he is causing many problems and slow downs for some of the implementations he intends to do. He does seem to pick those who have made themselves prominent in his eyes — enough to be remembered well in his present demented state. But he could face a lot of blow-back and hopefully one or more will be x-ed out during confirmation. Thinking 3 especially. Gabbard, RFK and Patel. Hegseth is pretty iffy too.

I understand that people won't want to draw attention to themselves too much if they are a part of the FG's government and party, but there are a lot of Reps. out there who are going to be losers and once you have all of them against FG — it is just a hop, step, and jump to GOP. We can hope.

And so we have a destroyer-in-chief (if he can remember what he is doing) but we are aware of how tough it can get while the many that voted for this are only now starting to 'worry' about what they did. You can't cause pain w/o having it get on you too.

Probably going to a lot more pick your own places now. There are some here. I would not be able to easily do it anymore at my age and flexibility. It is hard work.

    So true.

Absolutely. I do think the pardon gives the media a lot more 'meat' to work with, but the important thing was not to see Hunter Biden used for even more destruction to him and to his Dad and family who are good solid people, period. Not the Trump grifter family in any way.

BREAKING: Donald Trump spits in his supporters' faces by selecting investment banker Warren Stephens to serve as the powerful U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

So much for draining the swamp...

"Warren has always dreamed of serving the United States full time. I am thrilled that he will now have that opportunity as the top Diplomat, representing the U.S.A. to one of America’s most cherished and beloved Allies," Trump announced on Truth Social.

The convicted felon/president-elect went on to praise Stephens as "one of the most successful businessmen in the Country," as if that somehow qualifies him to hold the position of top diplomat to one of our closest allies Stephens was a major contributor to a MAGA super PAC, so this appointment is a blatant example of quid pro quo.

MAGA voters thought that they were electing a populist to save the country. In reality, they elected a corrupt billionaire who will only further entrench the wealth and power of the elites.

Has he named anyone yet, truly qualified.

I am so glad President Biden will (or has) pardoned his son Hunter. Who cares what Reps think. It is the right move. Not sure why anyone would be surprised by President Biden’s decision. All the media outrage about it is, I think, because there isn’t much other news to report on. They’re trying to create controversy and in the end, no one really cares if Hunter gets pardoned!

Just to let everyone know, I’m going thru matters regarding mbc and I am not quite sure how things will turn out. I will do my best to to keep in touch. Love all you ladies!

We love you too Divine and have missed you so very much. Your posts are always wonderful and thought provoking. The important thing is that you hopefully will be well and feel well.

Like you, I think Pres. Biden not only had a perfect right to do what he did, but with the threats and his family, and very much Hunter would have likely faced, definitely should have given Hunter an un-conditional pardon. Trump has been after the Biden family for many yrs. now and no reason to think (once he and his enablers are in elected ofc. again) that he wouldn't seek all sorts of vengeance. I think perhaps other pardons will come — I hope so.

We love you, Divine, and so hope that your health issues can be brought back under control. 💓

The media should point out that Biden didn't pardon Hunter until he saw the revenge-seeking, scary clowns Trump wants to put in charge of the Justice Department (and everything else too. Just when I think he has nominated the most horrible person possible, he picks someone even worse…..
