Thank both of you Ruth, and Miriandra.
I read something about "perfume" and FG and then had no time to go back and look it up to see what was up. There is I'm convinced, absolutely nothing FG won't put his name on to separate you from your money. It always astounds me but it shouldn't. What other high official (I refuse to call that person president) makes his own grifting sales ads like a carnival barker, would do such a tawdry, un-dignified display.
Please let him crash and burn and whomever takes over after that happens — may they do the same thing. Some days it is hard to think of this as my country.

Nature is the clearest source of solitude. The greatness of nature can overwhelm the insignificant chatter by which we measure most of our days. If you have the wisdom and the courage to go to nature alone, the larger rhythms, the eternal hum, will make itself known all the sooner. When you have found it, it will always be there for you. The peace without will become the peace within, and you will be able to return to it in your heart wherever you find yourself.

Does he think he's Putin and can annex whatever country he wants? Didn't he once want to buy Greenland?

Yes, yes, yes. T-rump thinks he can have any country he wants, and he did talk about Greenland before. The mind is sometimes quite the character allowing you to believe almost anything — even if there isn't an ounce of reality in it. T-rump has lived almost his whole life this way. So, he'd like to take Mexico, Canada, and even Greenland maybe all the while getting tariffs installed and tossing out and ridding us of millions and millions of illegal immigrants. I'm sure he'll find some time to walk on water in his spare time.
I read somewhere today that many people voted for him based on one or two items — like deportations and the economy. REALLY !!!! Like don't worry about 2025 — when your big deal is immigration. Hope you enjoy the rest of your existence if T-rump tosses enough immigrants — then your life will be perfect- right. I had heard that once before but hoped it was wrong. Apparently, it wasn't. That's pretty sad and I know there are going to be a lot of really disappointed people when they get a load of their life. We have been expecting whatever comes, but apparently many of those people couldn't get past one idea — and apparently thought no one else could handle it. Good luck to all of you.

In the rush of daily living it’s easy to forget all the remarkable people, real or fictional, who have been a part of your life. But if you just imagine they are near for a moment, you will realize that anyone who ever touched your heart is always with you, patiently waiting to emanate warmth and support whenever you remember to think of them.

He brought $135 billion with him. How long do you think he will survive?

I just read a LinkedIn post from someone saying that people need to stop complaining about the CEOs of charity organizations getting 6-figure salaries. He cited the CEO of Save the Children UK being paid 143K pounds when he could be making upwards of 600K pounds with stock options at a for-profit company.
Frankly, when it's possible for someone to be the CEO of multiple companies at once, it looks less like a job and more like a hobby at that level. Plus, in an ideal society, welfare charities wouldn't even need to exist. The greed that pays out exorbitant salaries and golden parachutes is what is creating the world where so many people are living hand-to-mouth or lower and need charity assistance.

It takes more courage to reveal insecurities than to hide them, more strength to relate to people than to dominate them, more "manhood" to abide by thought-out principles rather than blind reflex. Toughness is in the soul and spirit, not in muscles and an immature mind.

So true Ruth. We have been trickling since Reagan and it is still as madding as ever. Our 'taxes' never recovered after Reagan and I think there are so many people in this boat.
