Wouldn't you love to see the non-disclosure contracts the couple on the right bottom much have — yikes.

That the US has allowed our largely employer based system of private insurers, who are more concerned with profits than people, to become our primary means for obtaining health care is one of our greatest national shames. Actually, it is our greatest national shame because good health and access to health care is the foundation for most everything else in life.

The US has a long history of ambivalence toward education as part of its not so subtle anti-intellectual bent. Again, I live in a bubble where education is highly prized and families place great emphasis on education, but I sadly admit that is not always the case. Families are very often well educated with parents earning very good incomes and while that shouldn’t, in theory, make a difference in public schools, it most certainly does. We use the term public education as if it was some homogeneous system but the inequalities within that “system” would shock most people.

My parents (poor though they were) believed in education (and I know were sorry they didn't have all that much) and I did not take the advantages I might have. I don't think of myself as dumb mind you, but just not nearly as educated as I might have been. I know I likely would have had a better life in many ways.

I think the Reps. especially seem to like to shun education. If you 'learn' too much you will be far harder to control. What a sad horrid viewpoint. It we encouraged lots of learning everyone, and very much including Reps. could and would benefit. We might even start accepting each other as equals-male and female.

I think we should take time to consider Denmark’s offer to buy the US. They are offering free education and universal health care. Not a bad deal. They said it could make America great again.

I heard a story about a woman who grew up in Texas.  When she was having trouble in her life, she would visit her grandmother, who lived nearby and always had a kind word and some wisdom to pass on.  One day she was complaining to her grandmother about some situation and her grandmother just turned to her, smiled sadly, and said, “Sometimes, darlin’, you’ve just got to rise above yourself in this life.”  I’ve remembered that wise advice many times as I’ve faced trouble in my life.

A bit blurry and hard to read but bound to happen. Thy mystery to me is why the folks who have experienced his lies over and over somehow think the 'next' time he will actually tell the truth. In what Universe after more than 9 yrs. of lies do you think anything will be different now.

He told us who he was loudly and clearly and now those who voted for him feel outfoxed? Shame on them for being deaf to his message. You reap what you sow, so now sit back for a wild and rocky ride. LMAO at their ignorance.
