Well, that is a — all I can do is sputter moment if ever I had one. Could that get any farther beyond the pale.
1 -
Back later because I'm still muttering and sputtering over the one right above this.

Thank you for reaching out to express your concerns regarding proposals to reform the U.S. Department of Education, including H.R. 899. Your feedback is essential as we work together to shape policies that benefit Pennsylvania and our country.
Established in 1980, the Department of Education now oversees a $268 billion budget. The agency is responsible for administering federal education grants, enforcing federal civil rights laws in schools, and managing student aid programs, including Pell Grants and federal loan services like the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
President Trump promised to close the Department of Education during the campaign. On March 11, the Department of Education announced its decision to reduce its workforce by 50 percent and that the 1,300 impacted employees would go on paid administrative leave starting March 21.
Ultimately, officially closing the Department of Education requires an act of Congress. Rep. Thomas Massie introduced a bill in the House of Representatives, H.R. 899, which calls for terminating the Department of Education on December 31, 2026. A similar bill has not yet been introduced in the Senate.
I believe parents and students are best served by education policies made at the local level. Education policy should be flexible to address each community’s unique challenges while ensuring all students have access to quality learning opportunities. I am alarmed by the ever-expanding list of federal mandates via the Department of Education community-based education decisions, recent declines in test scores on key subjects, and I support efforts to return more power to local communities.
Moreover, with our national deficit approaching $2 trillion annually, it is imperative we eliminate wasteful programs and restore fiscal responsibility. At the same time, any changes to federal education policy must maintain essential services and protections. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the Senate to champion students and parents.
It is an honor and a privilege to serve our great Commonwealth in the United States Senate. I appreciate having the benefit of your comments on this important matter and always welcome feedback from my constituents.

U.S. SenatorThis is the response I received from our state Senator, Dave McCormick, who is one who will benefit from the orange one's tax cuts for the wealthy. He is a multimillionaire who actually resides in CT. As you can see he drank the Kool-aid and will support this decimation of the DOE. It makes me want to vomit. They are ensuring a future of illiterates.
Our national debt would not be approaching 2 trillion if the ultrawealthy like him, Bezos, Zuckerburg, and many others paid income taxes like we do.
IMHO The declines are not related to dollars but to the current changes made in curriculums that do not serve the student but satisfy some mandate from Boards of Education and parent interference.
I had a friend who was a teacher in grade school who was forced to pass students who did not meet the educational requirements for the grade. She was pressured by parents and her superiors. Failure to do so would be reflected in her evaluations. So these were kids who "were passed through" and could not read, or write when they graduated. We had students applying for college who had to take remedial reading and English writing classes prior to being enrolled. They were not happy campers but failed to realize our focus was on their success and not setting them up for failure.

The orange one is mad at the Atlantic but I remember Tulsi saying it wasn’t classified

Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It's about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to be honest. The choice to let our true selves be seen.

Wren, I actually think Radcliff intimated that it wasn't classified either but then Goldberg from the Atlantic put in some proof that it indeed was. Actually, had it not been, the Atlantic story would have a day's coverage and gone dying a journalistic death rather quickly — but the orange people can't quit lying and coming up with dumb explanations for the GIANT snafu. Trump tamped things down a bit with new tariff talk on cars from other countries, but even though Reps. and others will try and shy away now, I think we will continue to hear for a while yet. Upset like this one is not swept away easily — especially if you are making it worse with idiotic stories or trying to shove something else like tariffs into the spotlight.

Oh, sorry about that Chief — Is that what Hegseth is saying to the orange idiotic leader of this fiasco.

Someone opined that there are 330 plus million people and if all stood against people like Hegseth we could be done with the idiocy that is taking place as we speak. This is so, so true and something I have said many times. Sadly, we are against each other so much that we can't coalesce around the things that are so often destructive and hurt way too many of us. Too busy enjoying the feeling of getting even — so much so you don't notice your own nose is now missing.

The pressure needs to last longer and I hope we are up to that.

And some are as well cruel and sadistic too. This is what we are now finally getting and I hope will come more and more to light. We knew the orange Loon was incapable the first time around — but easy to look past that if you don't like the price of what you buy at election time.
I hope it is possible to finally wake up a few extra brain cells at least. Enough to neuter D. Dementia from the WH. and a huge amt. of Reps. as well.
1 -
Okay, Reps. There's your list and why I don't care one whit exactly.
1 -
There was never any reason for me to like him, but he has made it far worse. I'm not much for anyone whose love of money supersedes everything else. I think they are cruel and in-humane. Some support worthy causes and I'm much more okay with them.
1 -
I generally trust this source, but as I don't watch news much I don't know if this is true, but he had the same words at first for the Hegseth/Walz/Goldberg upset.
He is deep in dementia and basically cares little for what is going on. I'm not sure how well he can hold thoughts on things for any length of time now and so far while some remarks have been made, the media has yet to really coming out and own up. People are keeping the Loon in the WH for what they (not us) want but at some point Loon is really going to be too far gone and then the gig will be up.
1 -
Well that has been the orange Loon's plan from the first — he gets to do anything to anyone he wants too and no one can do anything to him. They can't even tell the truth about him.

Can we offer him a room in El Salvador on the tax payers dime? Kristi Noem, the deranged bitch, will come to visit.

I'd gladly pay for both their incarcerations!
