Life has no other discipline to impose, if we would but realize it, than to accept life unquestioningly.  Everything we shut our eyes to, everything we run away from, everything we deny, denigrate, or despise, serves to defeat us in the end.  What seems nasty, painful, evil, can become a source of beauty, joy, and strength, if faced with an open mind.  Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such.

The real surprise would be if a black shooter were taken alive. Isn't that verboten.

If you ask me, I think they are lucky the cross doesn't burn right into their skin through their clothes —such heathens are they.

If you actually have seen the dismembered bodies of these kids as I've seen - there is no chance you'd support Israel's atrocities and INTENTIONAL killing of civilians.

People making excuses for Israel are simply not good people. Chances are your elected politician - Dem and Republican - voted together to keep the bombs and money flowing. And - now they're doing everything possible to limit our right to speech as Americans to criticize the atrocities of the Israeli government.

Israel owns our government. And of course - they're going to say this is antisemitism because they got nothing else. If standing up against killing kids is antisemitic ... well then - guten morgen - I guess.

Just a note — I'm bummed. I like to size down my memes and not take up a lot of space, but lately since they put an extra choice on top hitting small no longer operates. The minutes you hit post it changes to a biffer size.

Some people just don't know how to keep their face from being rubbed in it. Jen Psaki would have never let something like this get by her — or indeed most of the recent Democratic press secretaries.

If I said repeat after me, Levitt just might do it. I am as dumb as a basket of rocks.

BREAKING: Donald Trump suffers a crushing defeat in the Kilmar Abrego Garcia scandal as the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals refuses to lift a judge's order that the White House "facilitate" the return of the illegally deported Maryland father.

This a major victory for the rule of law...

Trump's Justice Department appealed the clarified directive that Judge Paula Xinis issued last week after the Supreme Court upheld her order demanding Abrego Garcia's return. The appeal has been denied just a day later.

"The relief the government is requesting is both extraordinary and premature. While we fully respect the Executive’s robust assertion of its Article II powers, we shall not micromanage the efforts of a fine district judge attempting to implement the Supreme Court’s recent decision," U.S. Circuit Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson wrote for the 4th Circuit.

"It is difficult in some cases to get to the very heart of the matter. But in this case, it is not hard at all," Wilkinson added.

"The government is asserting a right to stash away residents of this country in foreign prisons without the semblance of due process that is the foundation of our constitutional order," he went on.

"Further, it claims in essence that because it has rid itself of custody that there is nothing that can be done," the judge continued. "This should be shocking not only to judges, but to the intuitive sense of liberty that Americans far removed from courthouses still hold dear."

The Trump administration has already admitted in court that Abrego Garcia should have never been removed from the country and blamed it on an "administrative error."

El Salvador's far-right President Nayib Bukele has remained lockstep with Trump and claims that it's "preposterous" to suggest that he should return Abrego Garcia who he has falsely smeared as a "terrorist."

An immigration judge ruled back in 2019 that Abrego Garcia could not be deported back to El Salvador because a gang in his native country was "targeting him and threatening him with death because of his family’s pupusa business."

I don’t wish to comment beyond this (doing poorly, health wise right now) but I will say one thing. All Palestinians are not Hamas and not all Israelis support Netanyahu’s government. The problem is that anti-semitism, whether intended or not, creeps into the dialogue very quickly and often is directed personally and violently toward people who have no ability to change government decisions.
I say this as someone who has heard horrendous things said about me, my family, and friends. Nothing like being told that six million was a good start. It’s hard to describe the gut punch when it’s directed at you for reasons you can’t even fathom

TBH, I have no idea how to get around the issue. As a people it is part of our generational memories and almost all of us are raised to know this and expect it at some point in our lives. So again, no wish to debate or need to respond as I have no answer but both sides of the issue involve people , regular everyday people who have precious little influence on what their governments do yet bear the brunt of those decisions in all the worst ways.
