According to Texas news, a similar thing happened in San Antonio. A man in his 30s attended a "Covid Party" and contracted Covid 19. Just before he died he said to his ICU nurse, "I think I did something stupid." And yet there are still folks who refuse to wear masks and 80 Texas counties have announced they will not enforce the governor's mask order! It is just plain scary!

Serenity, my first, and I must say uncompassionate thought about Richard Rose is, you can't fix stupid but apparently it can be killed.
I'm not sure if any of his family and friends will connect the dots to see that the reason Rose decided COVID-19 was a hoax was because Trump claimed it was. Will his family and friends realize that if Trump had cared about people of this country instead of making everything about himself that Rose could still be alive? That if Trump's message was different, Rose may have chosen smarter actions and still be here? Or even if Trump had acted quickly at the onset of the outbreak instead of denying it, it could have saved many lives, including Rose?
Trump is responsible, but will Richard Rose's close circle see that? One of his friends is quoted as saying, “you don't expect it (covid19) to affect people, younger people like ourselves." Huh? How in the day and age of 24 hour coverage of all things coronavirus did they not comprehend the seriousness?

Republican Voters Against Trump is running another ad of Republican voters who regret voting for Trump but will vote Biden this year. The message: It's okay to change your mind. The objective is to reach those voters in the middle and, as odd as it seems, let them know that changing your mind is a permissible, acceptable thing to do. Yes, apparently some people need that nudge.

While I cannot help but feel compassion for him and his untimely death at his choosing, I wonder if he had to die alone like so many others. Chances are if he died at home, he did have someone there. I wonder about those he so unknowingly exposed and how they will fare.
Hard to believe he was a veteran and managed to survive 2 tours of duty. This is just another blip on Trump's death list and he won't care.

I feel sorry that he made such a bad choice and encouraged others to do the same. I feel sorry for the medical personnel who risk their own lives to try to save people like him. I feel sorry for the clerk at Walmart or the grocery store whom he might have infected. I feel sorry for his parents. If he had children, I feel especially sorry for them. I feel sorry that so many people in the country think that the world revolves around only them, and don't at all consider the ripple effects of their selfishness.

Glad you liked it, Betrayal.....
For some reason DT looks better to me today....oh, I got it--half his face is covered up!

Now we have to get rid of seeing the other half, as in he's defeated this November.

Pupmom, indeed yes!
When I read this below I could hear DT talking to his aides about this: "Hey, guys, we're headed to Walter Reed---get me a thick one. Never know where these guys have been...."

"I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no 'brief candle' to me. It is a sort of splendid torch, which I have got hold of for the moment; and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."

Trill, I love the Pidgeon meme. I think the pressure on Trump was jut too great and he had to wear the mask at Walter Reed. I doubt we will see it again. Also, I'm sure he is feeling some great pressures. How many weeks have gone by and nothing has worked for him. His ties with Reps. Senate and others are getting very shaky as of late.

Hi Blue et al
I don't post much anymore but do read on occasion.
Yes, we do get "delisted". It's our reward for telling the truth!

Not covering your nose is as dangerous as having sex without a condom but he is porbably of the ilk that believes he breathes through his ears!
Today's memes are great and lve the one about the taxes. His method for filing taxes would end most of us in jail for fraud. Why is Mulvaney even still around, wasn't he dismissed?
Trump's new campaign slogan should be "lackeys for lying". If the shoe fits.............

I saw the picture of him with his mask under his nose. First thing I noticed was his teeny hands. Second was his Hitchcockian belly. Then I noticed his nose.

Vote Vets have made some great ads. Don't understand how any vet or current military can support him.

Serenity that is some ad. I presume from the Lincoln Project. I read someplace that those from LP know very much what they are doing having run campaigns and know exactly what is going to GET attention --- and being Reps. they know that the more you hit below the belt, the better. They have little problem doing it. It is partly because they sooo much want Trump out of there. They want to salvage the Reps. party -- if it is possible, or barring that step in and start a new conservative party -- by a different name of course. What day did Democrats ever think the people helping us defeat a Reps. would be part and parcel of the Reps. party.
Oops -- just went back to look and it is Vote Vets. It is a PAC as is Lincoln Project. Both of them seem easily able to cut to the chase and spell out the truth of the matter.
Ruth, those memes are great. Can't see this working out well and it is just putting much more on the backs of the Governors. If things continue I can't see even the Red state/Rep governors being able to get a handle on things. I am mortified that some may do next to nothing and still insist on schools opening. These people seem impervious to what so many others are seeing as they watch their kiss-ass behaviors where Trump is concerned. They are just blind to their own so transparent level of ignorance.

Trump's commutation of Stone's sentence is nothing less than a corollary of "snitches get stitches." Graham has acquiesced to Dem. demands to have Mueller testify before the Sen. Judiciary Comm., after Mueller's op-ed in the NYT defending his prosecution of Stone before Barr's DOJ cut the nuts off it.
Only reason Il DuceBag wore a mask to Walter Reed was that the hospital likely put its foot down and threatened not to let him in without wearing one. Of course, "raw-dogging" his nose is sorta like wearing the waistband of one's underpants below one's dick. Lest anyone were under the illusion that his mask-wearing to Reed was to "send a message," he not only didn't wear one later in Miami but made all the officials greeting him get rapid-tested (whether or not they were masked).
The pundit who correctly predicted the outcome of every Pres. election from Reagan through 2016 says he's "91% certain" Trump will be reelected by an even bigger margin this time, flipping even more blue states to red. Only way that'll happen is by disenfranchising every minority-group and student voter in large cities and college towns. Not that the GOP wouldn't try...
