Another long day for me here, and not too much tv so hard to keep up with 'the latest'. Glad the Reps. seem to be coming around because we and they need to accomplish impeachment or whatever may happen on a somewhat unified level. Still, I find I'm irritated that they only do it when it seems that their careers or the viability of the Reps. party as a whole is in jeopardy.
The orange thing is still out of his head and refusing in any way to give way. Well, that is not a big surprise. I do recall ( and it has been mentioned again lately ) that he talk of fraud in the 2016 election if he didn't win -- then went on to say H. Clinton didn't win the popular vote since they were fraudulent. He was making the same "threats" about this election in advance.
He and many of his cohorts crossed a line they should not have some time back with R. Giuliani trying to find Hunter Biden dirt in Ukraine with Russians there who had little if any standing left. Of course, the Capital riot/uprising ( a fail this time ) I think did seal the fate of many and has done more than anything to upset what little standing the Reps. party had a slight chance to maintain. No wonder all the rats are going overboard.
I'm praying for the safety of all on Inauguration Day and so hope the right choices are made so that safety prevails totally. I do think much scrutiny will be on order, but I do worry about hi-powered guns with long reach. Hopefully, that won't come up.
I also feel like the FBI and other agencies are putting out enough information that it will slow down some who decide NOT getting arrested right now is much better and that the chances of that happening are likely much higher after the events on the 6th. That won't stop everyone I know -- some will go almost anywhere and do anything because they are indoctrinated toward Trump that heavily.
Lastly, DIVINE -- fingers crossed for you that this turns out to be just an odd flu bug. Pleased about the good suggestions. I do think the waking yourself up is not the best advice. I'm a firm believer ( I almost always sleep well and attribute that to never having colds etc. ) in restorative sleep. I do get up two or three times at night to use the bathroom, but often seldom remember doing it --- so hopefully it does not impact m y sleep much. Rest and take care of yourself. You have a great outlook and also share informative pieces here which helps all of us separate how to view things.
I do worry about cornered Trump who hasn't much even of social media to spout his crap on so wondering what we all may be subjected too for the next few days. Need to stay informed, stay strong, keep a strong good picture in our minds ( don't invite anything dark ) and do our best to get through the next few days. I think with companies, banks, Reps. ditching Trump -- before the 20th. he will end up embroiled in trying to save himself or pad a landing -- so hopefully won't be hearing so much from him. His mean, nasty, insane followers hopefully ( before they can do too much ) will be found and tethered and by the time we all have some covid shots many of them will have had the r touch of Thor's hammer and we can get on with trying to rebuild.
Hoping that the pressure stays on for Hawley and Cruz.

Some Republicans are now getting on board with impeachment. Lynne Cheney #3 Republican in the House, (I didn’t know that, only reporting what I read) will vote for impeachment. McConnell is reported to privately back impeachment to rid Republicans of Trump and Trumpism. Several banks are refusing to do business with Trump anymore. And in an opinion piece, Politico says “don’t bet on” Trump TV: “What successful media wizard can you think of who is dying to throw in with a discredited ex-president?“
And forever, the yeti in the horned helmet wearing war paint and some kind of adult onesie will be attached to Trump, he will not ever live that image down.

Mirianda, thanks for the additional insight on the tips for treating Covid at home. I’ve always been a stomach sleeper, so no problem there. And I wake up numerous times during the night to pee, have been that way for years. I really couldn’t imagine walking through my house for 15 minutes each time, so thanks for letting me off the hook with that, haha! Am also a big water drinker filling a large travel mug numerous times daily. Should I drink Gatorade, too?
Took the zyrtec this afternoon and it calmed my cough way down. I have the famatodine/Pepcid, but uncertain I should take it as I don’t have heartburn or indigestion
I got a flu shot in November, get one every year, so there’s that. Am hoping for results tomorrow. I try not to doomscroll too much, but I read you can have mild Covid symptoms for a week and then it suddenly turns worse, so that’ll be my big concern if positive.

There's something I did back in the winter when I thought I had a gallbladder thing going on--pain in my right side and like right below where my nipple would be if I still had nipples.... lol! It turned out to be muscle soreness from all the coughing I was doing dealing with sinus issues, which can bring on a bad productive cough; had to get on a mega cortisone dose to get it gone; am now giving myself Dupixent shots in the stomach for my sinus polyps--(fun!)
Anyway, I have a great book called Nutritional Healing that blends western and traditional methods (you know--lots of herbal things etc)...love it...it's about 700 pages and costs a bit but is my go-to guide.... anyway, one of the things the book says you can do to ease that gallbladder pain there below boob on the right side is to take a piece of gauze and soak it in castor oil, then warm this in the microwave and place this over the painful spot and cover it with plastic wrap...I found the wrap stayed in place without any tape but then I wasn't moving around a lot....
Almost as soon--well, within minutes--as I placed this on me the pain died right down. I have no idea what castor oil does but it sure dulled that pain to a whimper....thought it might be good for rib soreness...
Trump at Alamo. I doubt he even knows what happened there. Wish he'd get on the OTHER SIDE OF THE WALL AND STAY THERE!

Trill, djt was at the town of Alamo on the Texas Mexico border (to brag about "his" wall), not at The Alamo in San Antonio. Probably doesn't want to come to blue SA! Said the wall is doing great things but did not mention that a section (not where he was today) fell into Mexico or that it can be cut with a chain saw. BTW, I live in Texas and wasn't aware there is a town named Alamo until yesterday.
I see that Pence has refused to act on the 25th. No surprise but I resent his equating that no action with his following the Constitution on the electoral votes.
Divine, hoping it is just a bug. If not, a weak bug with a mild case.

Beaverntx--Oh, ok, thanks for that! I just saw "Alamo" and thought it was THE Alamo....that's funny about the wall's construction ills--that gave me a much-needed laugh! They were showing DT speaking and I had to hurry switch the TV off or a bad case of GERD would have started up.....can't STAND listening to him or seeing his face or his mouth moving or his hands going or his stiff body moving from side to side or his hair or..........or..........
Oh, Divine, am thinking of you! Lots of H2O and deep breathing ( hold the breath long as you can) and have that pulse oximeter close at hand....I heard a doc talk who said that Covid patients often come to the ER late and then NEED a ventilator as they have not been aware of their blood oxygen level, that if everyone had a simple $20 (I paid $30 for mine on Amazon) pulse oximeter and charted that reading routinely they would SEE that it was headed in a downward direction and could seek medical help way, way sooner and thereby avoid having to go on a ventilator....
I hope ALL of you wonderful ladies are faring ok these days....we don't have long to wait for fat-face to be gone the f**k off OUR LAND and out of OUR HOUSE!

I don't know how many Congress people actually ever SEE and HEAR up close and personal these folks they of course know about....Chuck stood there and listened to this woman go absolutely flocking NUTS for almost two minutes right at him and others....amazing.....
