Trill --- loved it all. I think since this is not a heavily advertised or easy to find thread and is specific to liberal D's mainly -- we are able to share things here that otherwise might be tagged out.
I agree with Divine -- I think Biden made the best choice possible and I REALLY do see the possibility that Harris may have left the campaign early with an understanding with Biden. He ( Biden ) doesn't know anything about her now that he didn't know then. I think it is to the credit as well that she dressed Biden down and still they are able to lay that aside for the good of country first and party.
I also think people made their choice about who should be pres. and commander in chief some time back. That could change always, but as I see it we are seeing reality in motion on the democratic side and chaos and panic on the Republican side. All the Rethugs can do is look for ways to cheat and it is obvious cheats ( harder to make it stand by far ) while Trump just take a giant crap and then sits in it. He is becoming more worthless by the day and continues to cause headaches for handlers. Bring on the Aleve in huge bottles.

I am requesting my ballot RIGHT NOW--and you can be sure that in Cook County there will be secure ballot-drop boxes at both early-voting locations and Election Day polling places. If it doesn't arrive in time, I will don a hazmat suit if need be to vote in person.
My normally-liberal cousin-in-law (a retired lawyer like me) in the northeast reaches of NY's Westchester County is not a Harris fan--back when I visited her last summer, after her husband died, to make a shiva call, she contended that Harris somehow "slept with a superior" (unsubstantiated rumor, IMHO) and because of that would sit the election out rather than vote for her as President. She liked Biden but preferred Klobuchar. Now that Harris is the VP pick and Biden is at the top of the ticket, I hope she changes her mind. But even if she sits out the election it wouldn't have an impact, as NYS is safely "blue," despite her Cong. district being heavily Orthodox Jewish (and currently represented by a Repubican). My other cousins (MA, upstate NY, FL) are already volunteering for Biden.

I found out something in reading up on Trump's interview with Sean Hannity. I guess it is a way to try and help Trump get on the right subjs. at a certain time or whatever but while Trump was talking that whole insane piece Trill, something had been cued up on the screen to drag Trump into some sort of moment to cut off the gibberish and into something more "sane" sounding although I consider Hannity/Fox News and the majority of the people there, out of their gourds.
In any case, Trump at the time was too far gone. These things that apparently are rigged up to bring him to his senses enough to possibly sound like he knows what he is doing maybe are not going to work now -- and who knows how much they ever did. The one thing that is obvious is that all of the things that worked before for him seemed to have been almost totally cancelled by his extremely poor showing ( that would be almost none ) of how he has handled the virus. That has helped destroy the economy that was shaky already -- and if nothing is done ( so sorry the red states are being pummeled ) but the idiots in the WH at the time didn't seem to realize that covid does not just choose to show up in blue states only, so now it continues to stay totally up-side down.
Sort of a hint in that -- If Trump and company could rid itself of enough voting Democrats there would be a whole lot less worry for Trump at election time. Why would a reasonable, sane person ever think such a thing. Well, the answer is in the last sentence already. In the WH they are not all reasonable and they definitely aren't all sane.

It has long been rumored that Kamala Harris had an affair with former SF Mayor and CA Democratic influencer, Willie Brown. Whether this is true or not matters little to me and TBH her accomplishments speak for themselves. If anyone is looking for a “pure” candidate, I wish them the best but it will probably prove to be a futile search.

I think only if the economy had not crashed -- there might have been some room for Trump to do something -- but two major blows, and the fact that with one -- any and all responses were completely anemic. Even the first corona briefings were more about Trump getting air time than they were to help the American people.
It is a horrific way to get people to recognize Trump and his insanity. Frightening still to think save for all the disaster that has taken place Trump could have been possibly effective enough. Such a hard way to wake up and no matter what ( though I do think it is quire possible to have a huge blue wave ) we are still going to have to use care and caution and skip the big celebrations until there is a proven vaccine and all those who want it are able to get it.
