Inside me is a wheel, constantly turning from sadness to joy, from exultation to depression, from happiness to melancholy. Like the flowers, today’s full bloom of joy will fade and wither into despondency, yet I will remember that as today’s dead flower carries the seed of tomorrow’s bloom, so, too, does today’s sadness carry the seed of tomorrow’s joy.   - Og Mandino

I do not agree with John Bolton very much, but I'm totally on board about this.

    I love this one:

I want first of all to be at peace with myself. I want a singleness of eye,a purity of intention, a central core to my life that will enable me to carryout these obligations and activities as well as I can. I want, in fact--tomorrow from the language of the saints--to live "in grace" as much of the time as possible. I am not using this term in a strictly theological sense. By grace I mean an inner harmony, essentially spiritual, which can betranslated into outward harmony. I am seeking perhaps what Socrates asked for. . . "May the outward and inward person be at one." Love the memes Ruth. That first one really gets me. I always think many of the pictures of the Loon we see are kept away from him. Fat, red-faced, old and ugly come to mind w/o even thinking about it — so I don't think anything so un-flattering is allowed to get in front of his sweating face.

Just ew to that Lauren Boebert comment. I realize many people get a lot out of their faith, but it is not a one size fits all solution. And has she not heard anything about the sexual abuse uncovered in so many church denominations? Religion has many predators taking advantage of trusting people and then others who deliberately cover up the abuse so their churches don’t get a “bad name”. “Church’” is not always the safe haven so many have been led to believe it is. I realize, tho, that this is probably a topic for another thread…..

Divine: you are responding to the Boebert comment which is EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. So while others may take exception to this, I do not. She is divorcing her exposing spouse so should we offer her "thoughts and prayers". He belongs on the pervert registry and how did she stay with him all these years and not know what he was like in public? Great role model for her sons for sure.

The Randy Rainbow expose on Schlubby Stalin was a good laugh and on point.

Love the photo of Lincoln and Obama.

Both Boebert and Greene are calling it marital quits. Hmmm. Not sure why, but it seems more than ever too many people are using religion as a shield. You either follow the Commandments or you don't. Just like following the Constitution or you don't.

Yes, perhaps each could use a bit of tweaking as times do change but at some point, if you break the commandments, rules, Constitution, whatever — you will be 'known and no SHIELD will cover you.

Imagine that. How it is every time we have a great President.

The Loon is always but always one step or two ahead so he doesn't have to appear actually responsible for the outcome of his personal actions.
