Stacey Plaskett absolutely DESTROYS Jim Jordan and Republicans during an FBI whistleblower hearing chaired by Jordan. “When the FBI investigates conservative Christian white men who are actually threatening violence, suddenly my Republican colleagues are rushing to defund the police,” she said. She also attacked Republicans for failing to uphold the rule of law when it applied to them. “This hearing is evidence, as if we needed any more, that MAGA Republicans are a threat to the rule of law in America ... my colleagues on the far right are on a mission to attack, discredit, and ultimately dismantle the FBI. Jim Jordan(R-OH) thought it’d be a great idea to tweet out a blessing on whistleblowers after his Thursday hearing featuring two such witnesses from theFBIblew up in his face and made him and House Republicans look like complete fools.The two men who testified on Thursday — Marcus Allen and Steve Friend — aren’t actually whistleblowers, many Democrats rightly noted. Instead, they directly interfered with or refused to take part into FBI investigations of the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, asCNN reports.The FBI officially revoked Allen’s security clearance on May 3 and listed a variety of reasons for doing so, including a September 29, 2021, email in which Allen called on FBI officials to exercise “extreme caution and discretion in pursuit of any investigative inquiries or leads pertaining to the events of” January 6, according to a copy of the letter.[…]Friend, a former FBI agent working out of Florida, had his security clearance suspended in September 2022 for objecting to using a SWAT team to arrest a subject whom theFBI said was at the Capitol illegally on January 6. Some days I can hardly believe what I have heard. Then again, so very many of the seemingly worst Reps. have had over four yrs. of the Loon helping them to not is reality. It simply doesn't matter what may be real as they have a version and that is all they are going to present.
They are well immersed in how to appear and appeal to those who would follow the orange freak to the ends of the earth. I do so hope and pray that this next cycle is able to firmly put the Reps. party in its place. I also hope some of the 'safe' people who keep getting voted back in actually won't be this time.
I've thought for so long that the Reps. party was on its way out and it sure seems like they are much closer now with the events of the last 5 or 6 yrs. Amazingly they have always pulled through, but I hope this time they (or at least the worst of the lot like Jordan) don't.

Year after year we go through this and twice as much or more if the Reps. are able to 'make' trouble with it. I'm so tired of hearing debt ceiling I could scream. My fault to an extent since I watch cable news although I usually want to watch only one segment (news hour) and move on - so as not to get so exposed.
Would be nice to get a majority of Democrats in the next election so we could make far better changes for how things are done. The only problem there is that things have been so damaged the last few yrs. (Loon's time in the WH) that so many things need repair to function right.
