The DuhSantis meme neglects to say he’d also eliminate the National Weather Service. Make perfect sense doesn’t it? This state nearly gets blown away yearly, so don’t let us know about it. What a guy. I guess only the Magats have magical powers to survive storms.

The school security officer at the Parkland school massacre has been found not guilty of all charges of child neglect and culpable negligence for not confronting the shooter, and instead running away from the building. He was the only other armed person on the campus aside from the murderer. Peterson, the guard, was quoted saying, "We got our life back after 4 1/2 years." Too bad the 17 people he let get shot won't get their lives back.

Just more evidence to show that hiring armed security officers in schools is a waste of money that could be better spent on mental health counselors and real support staff.

God is life. I understand that and express it. God is perfect Truth. I understand that and express it. God is Love. I understand that and express it. I radiate thoughts of love and peace and healing to the whole universe. If anyone has ever injured me or done me any harm, I fully and freely forgive that person now, and the thing is done forever. I go free.     -Emmet Fox

Many seem to think that this one will never be convicted or if so, sent to jail. First off, they say the SS can't guard him in jail. Well, that may be, but if he needs to be in jail, let him take his chances like anyone going would have too.

Also, while I really believe he belongs in jail — so that he gets the same forms of justice as most other men get, I also believe that the negative and extremely bad notoriety and lg. loss of money and other prestige would be almost as bad as jail.

Clarence Thomas. You just voted to gut affirmative action and student loan forgiveness. Let’s take a look how you got into Yale, shall we? During your 58-page concurring opinion, you wrote that the foundational policies of affirmative action "fly in the face of our colorblind Constitution and our Nation's equality ideal.”But Justice Thomas, we did a little digging and it turns out that Yale university followed an affirmative action policy at the time you attended its law school. There’s more. In 1991 a New York Times article about you reported that Yale University officials confirmed you were admitted to its law school "under an explicit affirmative action plan with the goal of having blacks and other minority members make up about 10 percent of the entering class."It appears clear from the testimony of Yale officials that your admission to the Yale School of Law was made at the time of affirmative action policies and was almost certainly influenced by it.We should also mention that you secretly accepted $150,000 in tuition payments from rightwing billionaire Harlan Crowe, but you just voted to strike down loan forgiveness for students who need it. There is something absolutely tragic about the fact that the benefits of affirmative action helped create a Justice Thomas who will now deny many young African American talented individuals the same opportunity.Justice Thomas, if you’re so against affirmative action, I suggest you resign from the BencSuch

The above is such a great reason all on its own to think about term limits.

Clarence "the Clown" Thomas has always expressed hatred for the fact that he got into Yale due to affirmative action and not due to his own merits. I am not sure if he would have been accepted otherwise. He accepts tuition from a wealthy man who has had cases submitted to the Supreme Court and Thomas did not recuse himself from hearing them (kept relationship hidden).

He and his wife could well afford to fund the tuition for the nephew, the trips they have made at the expense of others and yet he continues to poison the well. He is a bitter, hateful man and at some point he will have to pay for his spitefulness and biased judgments. No one paid attention to Anita Hill and I still feel she spoke the truth.

I think he hates what he regards as white privilege and yet avails himself of it to elevate his public stature. I think his decisions reflect his hate for white privilege and this is his way of paying those he perceived hurt him back. I do not think he married Ginny (another loser) because he loved her but as another way of expressing his anger towards white privilege and I am sure he does not regard her as an equal. However, I do not pity her because she is just as despicable as he is.

Sad day for students who will lose access to creating diversity in education and for those who will be unable to afford an education or pay for that which they already have. As someone who worked my way through school (1 undergrad and 2 graduate degrees part-time), I do not agree with erasing all student debt but feel there should be better access to reasonable scholarships and loans.
