So true — we all would. Then again, I do understand in this case, that it has to take place in incremental steps, but it is maddening anyway. The Loon in particular, does what he does because he has never had anyone willing to seriously stop him.

OTOH, Judge in this case seems to be ready to roll on things quickly so should rapidly get the Loon up to where he is in neck deep issues and crap and will have to back off. She sounds like she just isn't going to allow the Loon to keep normalizing something heinous as actions were without having to stand up to and for everything he did. Ah Karma.

I disagree with Ms. Coulter on pretty much everything, but she does dislike trump.

Trump demanding that Judge Chutkan be removed from his case. Since when are you Loon, in any great position to demand anything — as if it could happen just because you demand it. Your time could be better spent and your money on better lawyers.

Can we recognize our oneness, though?  And what will happen if we
not only start to see that we are connected to the other human beings
in our lives, but also start to live as if that were true?  Would we
become more compassionate if we were to recognize the same hopes
and dreams that we have, there in someone else?  Would we be able
to help someone else feel more hope in their lives?  Would we feel
more at home and at peace in our own places in this world if we were
to keep in mind that we are an important part of the human race, and
that we have many chances every day to improve the lot of humanity
by improving the life of a fellow human being, even in tiny ways?

Dh,ds and I saw the movie Oppenheimer at the theater yesterday. What an incredible movie. I predict many Oscars including Best leading actor and best picture as well as best sound and best cinematography. The entire movie was filled with so much amazing acting the best supporting actor nod could go to any number of them in the film. The attention to detail was sublime. The movie is 3 hours long and never once dragged. We all felt transported back to that era of the 1940s, and we all want to watch the movie again when it hits a streaming platform.

On an unrelated note, while at the cinema we saw previews of upcoming movies and one was “The Exorcist: Believer”. Tho it’s not my type movie, it looks incredibly creepy in a very entertaining way for those who love that kinda stuff. The surprise is Ellen Burnstyn from the original Exorcist movie has a role in it. After a couple minutes of watching the increasingly gruesome goriness on screen, dh chirped, “Coming this Christmas!” It was pretty funny. But actually, Friday, October 13th is when it’ll be released. Of course!

Ruth, love the carrot meme. Really makes me wonder just how long we will have to wait for people to give up on the orange one. I do think he has harrumphed his last hurrah. In fact he is adding lots of layers as we speak. I read a piece on the way here that seemed to indicate that the Loon will never keep his mouth really shut. I don't know about that.

I would just like to think those who are sticking up for him right now (including his worthless lawyers) will sometime soon come to their senses. If they do, perhaps it will encourage a few others to treat what is going on with reality and truth. Then a few others after that.

It sounded to me (using good polls) that there are actually less people for the Loon although in news segments you wouldn't know it, and while we have to worry anyway, that does make it a little lighter worry for me.

I think he has lost some of this vote. Here's hoping he loses even more than that.

I could not agree with your meme more, Ruth. I do think that with the number of counts on each indictment that things are going to stick. The thing I question most is how they (meaning the whole of the legal system) will handle a former president. Of course, in my book, if found guilty and a prison sentence is required, he can damn well just take his chances and go without Secret Service. Except for the obvious, in my book, just the amt. he is getting charged with should put him on notice that he won't have protection much longer.

It is not he who needs protection, it is us. I'm going to be mighty unhappy if my tax money keeps having to pay for something I've never gotten or needed and instead goes to the one of the people who has hurt me the worst. It will infuriate me — even if I continue to do what my government requires.

    Here's hoping.
