Saying “Yes!” to God’s gift of love and life primarily and above all
means choosing love as a life principle.  However, saying “Yes!” to God
is not a simple matter because making our lives into lives of love is not
a simple or easy thing.  To choose love as a life principle means that
my basic mind-set or questions must be:  What is the loving thing to be,
to do, to say?  My consistent response to each of life’s events, to each
person who enters and touches my life, to each demand on my time and
nerves and heart, must somehow be transformed into an act of love.
However, in the last analysis, it is this “Yes!” that opens me to God.
Choosing love as a life principle widens the chalice of my soul, so that
God can pour into me his gifts and graces and powers.

Great memes. I was saying what on that last one too, and then I looked down at what you said.

I wish about Alcatraz too, but it is too touristy. Still, I would love to see the orange one put somewhere, mainly alone, where he could wrap his arms around himself all he wanted and needed. It is all he has ever done. No one really exists outside of himself so being all alone with himself should suit him well and keep him from daily damage to the rest of the world at large.

Many of them never will. He has turned them all into such sleazebaggery that a lot will never find their way back. Tch.Tch.

    B’bye!

Pence quits the presidential race after struggling to gain traction

NEW YORK (AP) — Former Vice President Mike Pence on Saturday dropped his bid for the Republican presidential nomination, ending his campaign for the White House after struggling to raise money and gain traction in the polls.

“It’s become clear to me: This is not my time,” Pence said at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual gathering in Las Vegas. “So after much prayer and deliberation, I have decided to suspend my campaign for president effective today.”

“We always knew this would be an uphill battle, but I have no regrets,” Pence went on to tell the friendly audience, which reacted with audible surprise to the announcement and gave him multiple standing ovations.

Pence is the first major candidate to leave a race that has been dominated by his former boss-turned-rival, Donald Trump, and his struggles underscore just how much Trump has transformed the party. A former vice president would typically be seen as a formidable challenger in any primary, but Pence has struggled to find a base of support.

I'm saying bye-bye as well. Just Surprised he made it this far. Also a little surprised that there was some apparent un-happiness perhaps that he was getting out. Well, only those who really liked the guy (I know it was actually very few) would bother showing up for him anywhere.

He signed his own death warrant for politics when he said yes to the VP invitation from the Loon's people to run. I've read before that the Loon didn't really want him, but since Trump didn't expect to win anyway went along. Lay down with a dog with fleas and what do you get. I don't know of any 'decent' person who didn't ruin themselves by getting close to the Loon. That said, Pence didn't have good standing coming in and was going to lose out on Governorship for another term in Indiana, his home state. So, Pence had nothing to lose, or so he thought. Much better for him to have quietly gone away.

Says nothing about the other cons that chose to rub shoulders closely with the big Orange con. Makes me think of the ? I think Connie Francis song " Whose Sorry Now", as all the lawyers (Guiliani, Ellis, Powell, Chesbro, and even Mark Meadows, has had to get a plea deal. Got a bit too close to the edge and now they are trying not to go all the way over.

It seems to me that most of the Reps. have forgotten the definition of transparency. I mean that in the way they don't realize it would seem, that on our side we have seen them from the get-go of the Loon and before as though no one is watching and if they are could not possibly be smart enough to put it all together. It's puzzling to me, but maybe seeing the Loon do it they think it is what works. Only worked for the Loon due to the amt. of mental baggage and damage he has.

BREAKING: Trump and Republicans shake in their boots as January 6 Capitol Officer Harry Dunn announces that he is considering running for a seat in the U.S. Congress — and publicly CALLS OUT Trump…

Dunn started off his potential Congressional run with a bang, declaring, “The America we live in today is not the America we inherited from our founders. It’s the one we built by voting, by protesting, by agitating, by demanding, by being arrested, by getting into ‘some good trouble, necessary trouble,’ as civil rights icon, former member of Congress, and my hero, John Lewis, would say. We got these rights by fighting, not on some faraway battlefield but right here at home."

To make matters worse for Trump, Dunn just released a blistering editorial in Time Magazine in which he declared, “There was an attack carried out on January 6th, and a hitman sent them. The hitman was Donald Trump, and he needs to answer for his crime."

Well said, Harry Dunn! If Dunn does decide to run for Congress, it would be devastating news not just for Trump, but for the entire Republican Party, because Dunn doesn’t back down to them — and he was seriously injured during Trump’s deadly January 6 insurrection and will serve as a breathing, living reminder of just how dangerous to our democracy Trump and his Republican enablers truly are.

    Hope it's all true.

    Occupy Democrats

2h  · BREAKING: MAGA world is collapsing according to a bombshell new report from The Daily Beast which reveals that Donald Trump's campaign rallies are completely cratering.

This is TERRIBLE news for Republicans in 2024.

According to the report, Trump's frequent rallies are being dialed back due to his growing legal problems and cash flow problems. More crucially, the crowds are growing tired of his rambling rants — which many are now suggesting are evidence of severe cognitive decline.

The Daily Beast's Jake Lahut provided an example that perfectly encapsulates Trump's rotting mind. At a recent rally, he did an extended, confusing bit about McDonald's—

Trump complained that he'd seen "containers of McDonald’s where the container is six months old, cars have been riding on it, water has been raining on it. It’s disgusting, what happened. It will be a part of my election—you know, it’s been a part of my election platform.”

Trump is now down to two rallies in month. He has far less time for them since his attention and time are being monopolized by four different indictments in four different jurisdictions. Rallies can cost him $2 million a pop and much of that money is now going to his army of shady attorneys.

"Honestly, given he has legal risk on many fronts, I’d probably do the same just to minimize anything that would f*ck up his legal defense," said one former close Trump advisor.

It is now a common sight at Trump rallies to see former fans in MAGA hats slipping out of the event early in boredom.

For Donald Trump, this is a death knell. Part of his entire appeal to these people is an entertainment factor. If he loses that, there's nothing left.

BREAKING: Donald Trump explodes, rages over a New York judge forcing his daughter Ivanka Trump to testify against him in a series of furious posts on Truth Social that show just how terrified he is over the judge’s decision.

Today, Trump declared, “My daughter, Ivanka, was released from this Fake Letitia James case by the Court of Appeals, but this Trump Hating, Unhinged Judge, who ruled me guilty before this Witch Hunt Trial even started, couldn’t care less about the fact that he was overturned. I also won on Appeal on Statute of Limitations, but he refuses to accept their decision. I truly believe he is CRAZY, but certainly, at a minimum, CRAZED in his hatred of me. This case should have never started, but now must be dismissed. Financial Statements were LOW, NOT HIGH, had a 100% Disclaimer Clause, Banks were fully paid, “on time, on schedule,” with never even a minor default, there was NO VICTIM, EXCEPT ME. Any other Judge in the Country would have thrown this case out on day one. He’s an out of control “Nut Job,” who fined me $10,000 over a ridiculous Gag Order so that the publicity for the day would take over from the fact that Racist James and the Judge’s Star Witness admitted LYING TO CONGRESS on the stand - CASE OVER!”

In his second unhinged post, Trump declared, “This grossly incompetent “Judge,” who is overturned on Appeal more than almost any Judge in New York State, is a partisan political hack who totally disregards the Court of Appeals decisions against him, and won’t allow a Jury to get anywhere near my “CASE” (brought by a Failed, Trump Hating, Racist Attorney General named Letitia James, whose entire campaign for office was “I WILL GET TRUMP.” She then used this charade to run for Governor, and lost, BADLY!). The New York State legal system has broken down completely, and everybody who is watching this Witch Hunt so agrees. Hopefully, that will soon change. This CRAZED Judge ruled against me before the Trial even started, and said Mar-a-Lago is worth only $18,000,000. Other properties, likewise. This is a Biden Election Interference Scam! There were No Crimes & No Victims, and there is NO JURY ALLOWED. This Radical Trump Hater Must Be Taken Off This Case!”

Clearly, Trump is shaking in his boots — and he isn’t even trying to hide it. After years of using his money and connections to escape accountability for his decades of criminal acts and corruption, he’s finally facing the music.

The best part is that it’s going to be his very own daughter Ivanka, the “pretty face” of his empire of corruption, who is going to have to do him in — or be sent to jail.

Instead of attacking the substance of the allegations against him, Trump is lashing out at the judge because it’s all that he has left.

Just like the dozens upon dozens of cases before this one, Trump will lose — and the Trump Organization will be buried by hundreds of millions of dollars in fines — no matter how many angry posts Trump makes attacking the judge and prosecutors.

Buckle up, Donnie… because it’s gonna be a very rough ride from here on out.

BREAKING: The Guardian drops bombshell, reveals that Trump’s co-conspirators Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, and John Eastman have NOT been offered any immunity plea deals by Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis — and are freaking out over it.But it gets even WORSE for them…The Guardian reports that they’re terrified that District Attorney Fani Willis is “vindictively forcing them to trial” for trying to help Trump steal the election — and not giving them ANY way to weasel out of it. The Guardian also reports that “the lack of offers from the Fulton county district attorney, Fani Willis, in contrast to those deals agreed with the other Trump election lawyers Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell, has caused some of Trump’s top co-defendants to reconsider their legal strategy and weigh options such as seeking an expedited trial or trying to sever their cases.”The Guardian report continues, “Additional apprehension in that group has come from speculation among their lawyers that Trump’s former chief of staff Mark Meadows is “in the market” for a plea deal to be rid of the case, after he evaded charges in the federal 2020 election subversion case in Washington.Meadows appears to have emerged unscathed from the federal criminal investigation led by the special counsel Jack Smith after he was forced to testify in March to the federal grand jury under a court order that gave him so-called limited-use immunity. But the fact that Meadows testified only after being compelled by a court order appears to suggest he was a reluctant witness, which may not help his negotiating position with Fulton county prosecutors.”The walls are closing in all around them — and just like with Donald Trump himself, Fani Willis is giving them no way out except prison.
