BREAKING, Jen Psaki bashes GOP Speaker Mike Johnson for being a “religious fundamentalist.”
"First glance, Mike Johnson does seem fine," Psaki said. "Fine-ish. Conservative, yes. But he once started a civility caucus with a Democrat. And I mean, if nothing else, he wears a suit and has glasses," she continued. "How threatening can this guy actually be?"
“His views on policy are essentially what you’d expect from a religious fundamentalist — they’re more divisive than divine.”
Here’s Mike Johnson’s record:
-He previously called cutting Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security “the #1 priority”
-He worked for years to ban abortion and overturn Roe v. Wade, implying that women should be required to provide the economy with “able-bodied workers”
-He spearheaded efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election
-He’s worked to purge LGBTQ people from public society and criminalize gay sex – all on behalf of a recognized anti-LGBTQ hate group
-He effectively voted to shut down the government by voting against a continuing resolution just a few weeks ago.
I’m with Jen Psaki!!1 -

Anytime I see this I soooo miss Claire McCaskill. I'd like to think he will be one of the ones who get voted out, but so many Koolaide drinkers makes if all so iffy.

A summary of Donald Trump, Jr.’s testimony: “I’m an imbecile and don’t know much.”

A great truth in the summary Ruth. Do you think he went home and maybe had a good round of cocaine to smooth the edges off the last two days.
None of the Trumps in my book have one ounce of gratitude for the nice life all their grifting has provided. Quite obvious they have never lived by any of the adages — like what goes around comes around. You reap what you sow. Never got acquainted with the definition of karma and if they ever saw it in action didn't know what they were seeing.
Likewise, watching what is happening to them now makes me feel gratitude for my upbringing and all the teaching my parents did. I lived by that rule " Reap what you sow" for a long time. I'm happier by far than any billionaire I bet — and way happier than any of the Trumps.

Strength is a capacity for endurance. One of the dividends of suffering is the universal discovery the we possess a strength within us we never knew we had. Navigating through a difficult episode not only shows us that inner strength is there but convinces us it will always be there to serve us in the future. Overcoming gives us an assurance of personal confidence and value that far exceeds what we thought we possessed before our struggles began.

You know, I don't usually talk this way but I looked at this picture and thought Jesus H. Christ. They just look so dumb and weird, even though I realize styles were a bit different back then.

Word of the day. It doesn't sound like a beautiful word, but it grows on you:
Disgorgement.Apparently, the Loon's lawyers forgot to tell him the meaning of the above word and he is hysterical about all those people who will be partaking of all of his grifted and ill-gotten gains.
