Good Grief to all of the above!
*I sure as heck hope the Blue Districts are paying attention to the clowns presently in office.
*Since the 'one person can get the Speaker booted' rule is still in effect, if Johnson does actually try to keep the government open, pass aid to Ukraine etc., he'll get the rug pulled out from under him soon enough (and if he caters to his right wing friends, shuts down the government etc……there will be hell to pay too). Fun job…..
*If only a 'gag order' meant an actual gag!!!

Despite the fact that $15,000.00 may not seem like much to him, it is in fact grifted money. Who knows how long it has been since he spent any of HIS money. In fact, how long I wonder has it been since he actually has had any money of his own or any he stole from his father.
Not many people live high by borrowing to the maximum hilt. I think all of us might do a bit better if we begged/grifted money from others to make the "living" that pays the bills.

MAINE SHOOTING UPDATE: A video still of a Maine shooter who opened fire in a bowling alley and killed 22 people appears to be an AR-15-style rifle. The SAME gun more than 30 law enforcement officers were AFRAID to confront in Uvalde that left 19 children dead. The SAME gun that’s been the weapon of choice in many of the most horrific mass shootings in recent memory, including the Covenant school shooting in Nashville just two weeks ago.The SAME gun brandished by Republican radicals like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert. The SAME gun worn as a pin on the lapels of disgusting GOP lawmakers. This is what we need to scream everywhere:If 30 armed officers wearing full tactical gear with ballistic shields are too afraid to confront a single gunman with an AR-15, they SHOULD NOT be in the hands of civilians. We have the answer. It’s the guns. BAN ASSAULT RIFLES NOW.

I too think BANS should be in place. PERIOD. The current batch of deranged lawmakers seem incapable of dealing with guns. They are in fact proving to be in-capable with everything. I'm surprised in a way that some of them or their families haven't gotten wiped out. Just from the sheer volume of these events.
I think I'd like to see one gun per household for hunting and one pistol only with proper registration and classes required. I see no reason for anyone to need more than that. Certainly no 'miliary' multiple rounds weaponry at all. The NRA should be put out of business.

From the Washington Post -
Maine doesn’t have red flag laws.
Card’s military reserve commanders sent him to a hospital where he received roughly two weeks of inpatient psychiatric treatment earlier this summer, according to a person familiar with investigators’ findings.
Investigators suspect Card may have used a legally obtained .308 rifle to commit the attacks, two people familiar with the matter said.

There is a fundamental law that the tissue of the human body will waste away through idleness and disuse. Conversely, muscles and vessel that are stressed grow and increase in capacity. This same basic law also applies to spiritual and intellectual growth and can be achieved only by continual nourishment and effort in day-to-day living.

Love the new face of the party, cardplayer. I hope as most of the news feeds predict that HE is soon un-masked and likely he will be. He may end up being a bonus when election time comes round. He is not likely to be any help at all to the moderates that found themselves voting for him. They were already in danger with some of their seats and he may be just as bad for them as before he showed up.
He fell into this situation and is a lamb for the slaughter it seems to me. His policies and ideas are too old for nowadays despite his young age. So, I think he too will hit the wall and be left stunned. Just for openers, the takes only one to remove you rule is still in place. I don't see him being able to satisfy the stupidity that passes for the Reps. party now.

At least 6 more co-defendants in Georgia are discussing plea deals. This will leave Trump and a few close allies on the hot seat.

also from Balance of Power PAC.
Does anyone have the video of Trump “running” out of the courthouse? Thinking it might have been a fast waddle.
I think it was a courtroom but never-the-less he did leave in a huff after apparently being a bit humiliated by the Judge. It has been said that he is doing this on purpose — playing the victim. I don't see how that will really work in the end. It is not how his followers (as mentally defective or brain washed as many of them seem to be) but how the Judge sees him. How good might that be if he keeps acting the petulant child. He is already GUILTY. Just remains to fix the monetary amt. of that guilt.

BREAKING: Special Counsel Jack Smith brings down the hammer on Donald Trump and formally urges the judge to throw Trump in jail because Trump is using social media to upend her case and intimidate witnesses.
But it gets even worse for Trump...
The brief filed by Smith's team meticulously lays out numerous remarks Trump has made since the gag order was suspended last Friday — and some of them are absolutely horrific. Some were even clearly designed to illegally influence witness testimony.
The brief also suggests stiffer penalties including actual jail time if Trump violates the order.
Additionally, the brief requests that Judge Tanya Chutkan modify the conditions of Trump's release to make it explicitly clear that his existing ban on communication with witnesses "includes indirect messages to witnesses made publicly on social media or in speeches."
Trump has repeatedly used his failed right-wing social media website Truth Social to spread his smears and attacks.
"In the few days since the administrative stay has been in place, the defendant has returned to the very sort of targeting that the Order prohibits, including attempting to intimidate and influence foreseeable witnesses, and commenting on the substance of their testimony," wrote prosecutors.
"There has never been a criminal case in which a court has granted a defendant an unfettered right to try his case in the media, malign the presiding judge as a ‘fraud’ and a ‘hack,’ attack the prosecutor as ‘deranged’ and a ‘thug,’ and, after promising witnesses and others, ‘IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU,’ target specific witnesses with attacks on their character and credibility, even suggesting that one witness’s actions warrant the ‘punishment’ of ‘DEATH!’" they went on.
Prosecutors also destroyed Trump's bad faith argument that the gag order violates his First Amendment rights and hurts his election prospects.
"The Order leaves the defendant entirely free to assert his innocence, claim that his prosecution is politically motivated, criticize the platforms and policies of his political opponents, and level all manner of criticism at various institutions and individuals, including the incumbent president and the Department of Justice," they wrote.
Judge Chutkan must heed the prosecutors' warning and lift the stay on the gag order. Justice is at stake.0 -
Wow !! Now if we can get the media to do its job.

Well he sure as hell can't be accused of dragging his feet on his worst ideas for the Reps. to try and do. Good Luch home boy.
