Happy Friday to all the economists and Republican naysayers who were happily predicting that America would fall into a deep recession. Meanwhile, Bidenomics has added almost 14 million jobs and powered America to the strongest recovery of any major economy.

Even though it is said to be better for us, I can't say I'm really looking forward to it.

Jackie, I’m not looking forward to turning the clocks back, either!

Another meme mentioning the time change that’s actually a nod to Ohio’s Issue One on the ballot Tuesday concerning women’s reproductive rights:
Issue 1 would enshrine in the state constitution the right to an abortion up until viability, which is when a fetus can survive outside the uterus with reasonable measures. It also states that there's a right to access contraception, miscarriage care, fertility treatment and continuing a pregnancy. Passage of Issue One would allow for abortions later in pregnancy − or post-viability − to protect the patient's life or health with the decision made by the person’s doctor. That means abortion later in pregnancy could happen, although they’re extremely rare in Ohio and nationwide. Proponents of Issue 1 say abortions later in pregnancy occur only under difficult, potentially life-threatening circumstances and don't happen on a whim.
I voted earlier this week. I hear voter turn out has already been heavy, also due to Issue Two which has to deal with legalization of possessing marijuana and growing marijuana plants.0 -
Sounds like Ohio has a very good assessment of where so many people are. I haven't read nor do I know what their issue Two is really all about, but I have felt for a long time that Marijuana gets a bad rap many times. It has a very medicinal value and, in many cases, has been legalized and sold on a medicinal level.
As to the abortion issues, one way or the other this is something that is here to stay so making it (in any state) less illegal is likely going to benefit the state and its citizens. I just can't see Evangelists being able to turn that clock back.
I think many are tired of the chaos and idiocy of the last few years and are starting to see that a continued insistence on outdated ideas and nebulous law changes are not going to be of benefit to them in the long term. Celebration is hard to maintain when a million boos keep coming in and you have to endure the fallout from it every day when you open your eyes and start your day.

What happens when you have a Loon for a client. They are jumping through his hoops, and he is making them look like the most exquisite fools. In the end they may not even get paid. All for nothing. after this I wouldn't hire either of them for anything.

I intend to go on with my life by living it, not by buying into some notion that I no longer have the potential to become still better. I refuse to take seriously society's idea that at the arbitrary age of 65 I am suddenly a lamp going out. Roger S. Mills

Love the memes, ladies. I really do think the Loon has a LOT heading his way. Even though he sometimes sounds (not put out so much as it once was) really senile, I do think some things are finding their way through. Myself I would find it hideously nerve-wracking to be in a FRAUD trial where I could in fact lose it all for most part.
Indeed, I'm hoping that happens as much for the Loon as his fairly worthless offspring that have a huge sense of entitlement going on. I hope the whole family suffers more losses than anything else. None of them in my book are deserving. I had hopes about the last one, but with the Loon and Melania bringing him up I'm not hoping for much. I won't judge him though at this point. In fact, through all of what is going on he may even turn into a good person after all. He should certainly see that crime doesn't pay. Fingers crossed.

That makes it sort of positive.

BREAKING: Alabama mayor and pastor, F. L. “Bubba” Copeland, has taken his own life just days after a staunchly Conservative, Right-wing outlet published private photos of Copeland dressed as a woman.
Late yesterday evening, local police confirmed that Copeland, pastor at First Baptist Church of Phenix City and mayor of Smiths Station, AL, had died by suicide. Law enforcement officials did not publicly release any additional details concerning Copeland’s untimely death.
Copeland’s suicide came just two days after a Right-wing news outlet with strong ties to the likes of Steve Bannon and Breitbart, 1819 News, publicly released private photos of the pastor and mayor wearing women’s clothing, smearing Copeland as an unbiblical man – a move that they knew would effectively ruin his life.
1819 News’ story started off innocently enough, writing of Copeland’s past meeting with Donald Trump to request aid following a flood in his area, but quickly took a sinister turn as the outlet wrote:
“However, during this time, the pastor had a secret life playing out online on social media and Reddit. The mayor operated social media accounts as a transgender woman under the pseudonym Brittini Blaire Summerlin.”
It has been confirmed that 1819 News contacted Copeland regarding the private photos, prompting the pastor to delete the social media accounts and beg the publication for mercy, pleading that they not release the images out of respect for his family and his position as a pastor and a public official in his community.
1819 News ignored Copeland’s pleas and published the private photos anyway.
On Wednesday evening, Copeland addressed the scandal with his church congregation, saying he was the victim of an “internet attack” and explaining, “Yes, I have taken pictures with my wife in the privacy of our home in an attempt of humor because I know I’m not a handsome man nor a beautiful woman either. I apologize for any embarrassment caused by my private, personal life that has come publicly.”
Bigoted, hate-filled faith leaders across Alabama wasted no time in attacking and vilifying Copeland, issuing a damning public statement saying they had “become aware of the alleged unbiblical behavior.”
Bubba Copeland ultimately took his own life yesterday evening.
A close friend of Copeland responded to the devastating news of his death, saying, “I am so angry right now and heartbroken. I witnessed a good man be publicly ridiculed and crucified over the last few days…to the point that he just took his own life today. I knew he was suffering so I reached out to him yesterday and offered him support and encouragement. He was appreciative and acknowledged that he had been going through some ‘dark days’ over the last few days. I just want to ask you people who thought it humorous to publicly ridicule him, ‘Are you happy now?’ What crime did he commit?”
Other friends of Copeland’s have since spoken out, stating that the mayor and pastor did not hold any bigoted or hateful views “toward transgender people or people who enjoy cross-dressing,” so there wasn’t even a purpose to the Conservative publication outing him in such a sinister, hateful way.
May Bubba Copeland rest in peace and serenity as his truest self.He was wrong, but that doesn't make ruining his life in an extremely public way something good to do.
