I was diagnosed with DCIS in January and had a mastectomy on the left breast last week. This forum is a wonderful resource! I have spent the last two hours parked on the couch, just reading article after article and post after post.
Especially in the time of COVID it's great to find factual information. The only downside to my surgery is that I had to wait four hours postop for a bed because of the COVID patients needing beds. Being fully vaccinated (I'm a health care worker) helped my peace of mind - a LOT.
