Nipple pain

I had a lumpectomy for Stage 2 breast cancer in Sept. 2012. I sometimes get sensation in the affected breast or itching at the scar site. But a week ago, I started getting pain internally in the nipple on that breast. There is no redness, but it's quite tender. I probably would't think anything about it if it wasn't the breast that had the tumor, but I wondered if anyone else has experienced pain well after the treatment.
