Thank you. It does mean that I am more than likely going to need to have more radiation to both my skull and 2 areas of my thoracic spine (T10 met on anterior side of spinal cord and T12 met to bone). Hope to know more on Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

@going2beatthis just catching up tonight on the different threads, been off for a week. That’s great news. I’m so glad for your results and there is a plan for you . I’m glad radiation is an option for you, if you find it to be ok. I just finished a month of it for my new Mets. Mostly disappeared , though sun burned.. on this journey of treatments radiation is always easier to take for me. I know there is more to be clarified, in your pockets for your meetings next week.
@seeq whew… that’s great to read about your daughter and granddaughter to be ..yeah ❤️ I gather there had been concern, glad it seems to have turned around now.

Well, I got to have a new experience today, my first earthquake. It was about 60 miles away but a 4.1. I was sitting in the RV. Thankfully, it was only about 15 seconds.

I've been through 2 very notable ones, and then some barely noticeable ones too. They are really something to experience - mostly because you have no idea how they will go while you're in the middle of it all. You just figuratively and sometimes literally hold on for dear life and hope for the best. So far, I've come through them all unscathed, and so have my personal effects. Glad it was short and that you got through it OK.

@kbl - omg , so glad you came through without harm or damage. It’s a very strange experience, and thankfully for the mild ones not harmful. Sounds disorienting nonetheless.
@threetree - I’ve been through only a mild one, and I sat there as the ceiling shook, while on a work zoom call, and thinking this is an earthquake … in NJ? And my colleagues all were… is your house shaking too ? My mind could not take it in and then it stopped.
And then my mom passed later in the afternoon, and my sister joked that god was calling Gloria home, and the earth shook .
I will forever associate earthquakes with her leaving her body behind. It’s actually a fond memory in a way, she was ready to leave the body. Mother’s Day brings many memories for me, as others as well I’m sure.Sending hugs and wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day, whether your mothering is for yourself, friends, plants,, animals or your children.
I will not be on zoom tomorrow, Dr appt to check my skin and wound care after radiation. Looking forward to it, as it’s sensitive and sunburned. So many appts ! But all is well , hugs and much love ❤️ to everyone.

Kbl and Rhonda - Yes, I live in Seattle, so they do happen a bit. When I was real young, I can remember my mother saying we were having a small one now and then, but I didn't connect. The biggest one I remember was 60 years ago. I was in the 6th grade and had gotten to my classroom early in the morning before anyone else was there, so I decided to draw on the chalkboard. As my hand started moving up and down with the chalk, the whole room started moving up and down too. I was totally freaked out and had no idea what was happening. The ceiling and walls of the classroom were shaking unbelievably and I thought everything was going to come collapsing in on me, so I ran outside to an open air area, just instinctively. Then a teacher appeared, along with a student from another classroom (she'd been in the bathroom apparently). The lone teacher who was there had gone knocking on all classroom and bathroom doors and ran everybody else out - only about 2 more students than me; including the one who'd been in the bathroom. We stayed outside in the open air until it was all over. Gradually then, other students and teachers started arriving, and of course it was the talk of the day. It's one of the biggest ones in history here now from what I know. The other bad one was in the early 2000's and I was substitute teaching a college class of ESL students. All the same shaking and thinking the roof and walls were going to come in, except I was "kinda/sorta" in charge and terrified. The students were from all over the world and didn't know what to think or do. I told the class that we were experiencing an earthquake (that time I knew) and were all leaving for the outside open area. We all went outside and stayed together until everything calmed down. I had one young Asian student though who was so terrified he followed me everywhere I went, wouldn't leave my side, and asked me if I thought he ought to call his mother in his home country. He did, and between his mother and me, and the shaking stopping, he calmed down a bit, but he stayed very upset for several days after, and I'm sure he'll never, ever forget it. I just felt so bad for him, because he was absolutely mortified and felt so helpless. All my other experiences have been rare and mild; just "of note".
Rhonda - What a story about your earthquake and your mother's passing. I can see where it could be deeply meaningful and you could think the two events might be connected. You just never know. Thanks for sharing that story.
KBL - Again, I am just so glad yours was an "easy" one. Let's hope you don't have to experience any more! (Not any of us.)

Thanks Rhonda. Those two I described were the "big" ones we've had. Many of the others aren't really even noticeable.

@seeq I have a list of how many have gone since Donna. It’s a lot. I sit here every day being appreciative that I’m not on meds and still here. I don’t understand it, but I guess that’s the way life works. I hope many others can have so much more time and that we don’t lose any others anytime soon. 💕

It's really heartbreaking to lose Teresa so soon after Evelyn. They're both at peace in the heavenly kingdom with no more pain. God bless their departed souls.
