Pain in ribs

I have an area that is slightly swollen on my rib, near the sternum. My physical therapist said she thought it was the area where the bone was broken, etc, to connect my Diep flap. I have recently been having some anxiety, so I don’t know if I need to contact my MO or wait until a regular appointment. How can you tell when to be concerned??

If you are anxious about it, call your doctor. I'd say you need to talk to the surgeon who performed the Diep Flap instead of the MO, though.

I'd call your doctor just to be safe. I had this too... ended up getting an xray to double check. Wasn't anything serious. Costochronditis.
