hi I am 24 years old, mama to a 15 month old little girl! My left breast is slightly bigger and heavier then my right, my nipples have flattened and the weirdest thing is my left breast burns, it feels like it burn up to my armpit. I also have strange discoloration that's spreading its light discoloration, I have had ultrasound and ct and chest X-rays done I have seen a breast specialist who said it was just hormonal along with other docs I'm concerned I have ibc and they are missing it. The fear is over taking my life.
I can't focus on anything I cry and I go into hysterics if I see anything strange on my breast that wasn't there before. I don't know how to ease my mind or what is causing all of this, I have never breast fed ether, this has been going on for about 3 months

MercyRose--I'm so sorry that you are feeling so anxious about the issues with your breast. Do you live near a cancer treatment center where you could see a breast cancer specialist? I imagine the breast specialist you saw should be able to identify IBC, but misdiagnosis does happen. Your age makes a cancer diagnosis unlikely but I'm sure you want to know what's going on and how to "fix" it. Try to be calm and keep pushing for the doctors to give you some better information. If the issue is "hormonal," then what does the doctor advise as treatment?

Hang in there and take a deep breath.

Would you think it was cancer if it was your heel or elbow bothering you? It's a big leap to go from zeroto cancer first thing. Remember, most breast conditions are benign. Try to calm down, make another appointment with your doctor and explain that you understand it's not cancer but you still have discomfort and need to find out what's going on.

I understand it seems like a big leap but the stinging has been going on for about 3 months and of course when I google my current symptoms the only thing I can find is ibc, I realize I might being being irrational but I am genuinely very scared. With the discoloration spreading on my breast and the nipple change I feel like my fear is justified.
