If cancers comes back in opposite breast is it the same kind?

Options

Hi Community,

I just had an MRI with dye infusion and they found a mass in my left breast. I had triple positive breast cancer in my right breast, I'm less than a year from a full year of chemo, radiation and a lumpectomy. If this is breast cancer, will it be triple positive? Or is it possible to get a different pathology report? I'm so scared to have to go through all of that again. I don't think I can have radiation, but it was the chemo that nearly killed me.

Any insight is appreciated!

It's possible for it to be completely different. You just won't know until you get the biopsy back. I hope it turns out to be something innocent & benign!
