Mets to lungs with pleural effusion.

Hi, I'm still here but haven't been on in awhile due to life situations. My lung Mets disappeared from PET/CT scans for 3 years but now 3 are back with one doubling in last 9 months to 2.1cm along with new pleural effusion. Scan says it's small and Onc feels like PE is caused by inflammation from large node that is leaking fluid…at least that’s what I understood him saying.
Anyone familiar with this and does the PE grow as node grows? If you had PE what point/size did it begin giving you problems?
