That’s such great news! I’m so relieved to hear there are no new masses. Wishing you the best as you work through the lymphedema PT—hope it helps with the pain.
I’m sorry I haven’t been able to attend group lately, but I’ve been thinking of everyone!1 -
Hello all, so glad to have the support of this group! Because of you, I was able to advocate for myself and get a new surgeon. This was after another confusion about appointments and what comes next and the sudden realization that it had been four weeks and I had only a little idea of how it all worked together. I made the switch by calling my radiation oncologist and asking which surgeons he works with and doing some research on health grades. And now I feel like I have a little more of a "team". Preop, etc., is tomorrow, then surgery Wednesday, the 20th. Hope to see you all this Tuesday!!

For the Tuesday group, it is Linda Powell. I started dense dose abraxane on Wednesday with much trepidation after two previous allergic reactions. It’s maybe too soon to report but I’m doing great!!! I took lorazepam last night for sleep and to fight potential nausea. I haven’t had anything since! I went to a two hour appointment with an architect and then the grocery store! Tomorrow I have first lymphedema PT appointment. I was very skeptical about being able to make it two days after infusion but now feel good about it. My nurse said most women to much better on abraxane but taxol is still standard of care for many reasons, including cost.
