Anyone have an anaphylaxis issue
Hey all, I wasn't sure where to put this, but I am two years out from chemo this month and this past Friday night landed me in the ER with a reaction to shrimp and potatoes. For reference, I've had issues with an intolerance to potatoes before treatment. Upset tummy, etc. During chemo, I craved bland foods and tried them again, and was able to eat them.
Friday evening DH made shrimp and French fries. I ended up with a rash all over my head and chest, then my lips started to swell along with my jaw, and trouble breathing. We went to ER and I am now the proud owner of an Epi-pen and can no longer eat shellfish or potatoes. I'm annoyed and feel like this has to do with my cancer diagnosis and treatment. It was scary as heck and I feel like another way this dang disease is messing up my QOL. Maybe there's no relation at all, but it's a good place to blame it on.
Has anyone else had anything like this out of the blue?
