Odd Nipple Sensation

So for as long as I can remember, it seems like one breast or the other is more "noticeable" in terms of discomfort, etc. I've learned to deal with it and not let it cause too much stress, but for the past month or so, I've had an odd sensation in my left nipple- it's a cold sensation, and sometimes it almost feels wet, like if there was a drop of water on it, but no discharge that I've seen. While I don't feel any lumps, it does feel more pronounced when I press it through a bra or clothing. It is ONLY in my left breast.
My next mammogram is in March. Curious if anyone else has experienced a similar sensation due to fibrocystic changes and hormones or if I need to have a scan sooner.
