Zoladex shot and Tamoxifen

in Hormonal Therapy - Before, During, and After

I have been receiving Zoladex (gorselin) shot for 5 months now and have been taking tamoxifen daily for 4 months. Does anyone have any advise on just having ovaries removed instead of continuing the shot? I meet with an OB/GYN surgeon in May to discuss this

    I am thinking about this too. I have only done two monthly shots so far, the third one will be Friday.

    I feel like I have read that some women have better side effects from the surgery than from the shots, but that was just anecdotal. My oncologist said she wanted me to see how it goes with the shots for a while first, before we have that conversation, and that made sense to me.

    I would also love to hear from others who have gone through this decision process.
