AC-T Latest advice?

hi all,

Am starting AC-T and wanted to know if there is any up to date advice or tips to consider? I have heard cold cap isn’t good with it but will use it anyway. Anyone used Paxman with AC-T?
Welcome any tips to keep me sane!

Hey @ava55! Until other members share their tips and personal experiences, here are a couple of articles from our main site that you might find helpful:

I had done cold-capping with dose-dense AC/T (8 rounds) - my center used Digicap. I had been told that cold-capping might not work with AC, given that it's a really hard regimen, but I was able to keep maybe 50% of my hair… it thinned out significantly on my crown, but I was still able to put together a thinned-out ponytail, and I just hid my thin crown spots with a cap. The worst of my hair-thinning was at my 6th infusion. I had debated whether or not to just give up on the cold capping, but stuck with it, and within 5 weeks of my last Taxol treatment, my bald spots filled in quickly - hello, 80s style mullet! I will say that the nurses at the cancer center were amazed at how much hair I'd retained. A friend went through 6 TC with the Penguin cold cap, and she looked like she'd never lost any hair at all. If you're concerned about hairloss, I definitely recommend coldcapping, although it's very expensive, and not always covered by insurance.
