Chest Wall Recurrence worry after Mastectomy for grade 3 DCIS
Hello all, It's been a while since I've posted. Looking through the forum I'm finding a lot of comfort knowing I'm not alone! I had a giant 8cm Grade 3 ER-/PR- DCIS back in 2015 that was treated with Uni Mastectomy. No chemo or radiation. After 8 1/2 years of everything clear on MRI every year, I have now discovered an itchy rash over the mastectomy scar. Not great. My oncologist ordered an MRI stat. I'm having trouble scheduling an MRI within the next couple weeks with my Integrated health care organization. Any suggestions or similar experience to share? Thank you!

We're so sorry you find yourself back here, @presentjenn, especially with this worry. And dealing with scheduling difficulties only adds to the stress, we know! We hope you can get seen quickly, it sometimes helps to have the receptionist or nurse at the facility put your name on a waitlist for cancellations. Please do keep us posted about when you're able to be seen for your MRI, and what your results are.
