Birads 4 with some oval lumps and axillary lymph node with thick cortex

Mammo and US show 2 lumps in right breast. Both are less than 1 cm and oval shaped and well circumscrimed margins and hypoechoic, parallel to chest. They were told as "probably benign"

There is also an axillary lymph node with central fatty vascular hilum, but with a thickened cortex upto 8mm.

The radiologist said, masses seem beningn, but come back after 4 months to check the lymph node or take biopsy now. We took now and most likely got a birads 4 for it.

Any reads from this. Waiting on biopsy result and its wrecking.
Any idea on this cortical thickness and what to make of it. No vaccinations recently.

    sdlpants,

Sorry that you find yourself in this position. Unfortunately, we are not doctors and not your doctor so it would be irresponsible for us to give any medical interpretations. Getting tested and the subsequent waiting is very nerve wracking but please try to wait for all information to be available and prepare any questions you might have for when you meet with your doctor. Take care

Update: Benign! The lymph node turned out to be REACTIVE FOLLICULAR HYPERPLASIA This forum has been awesome. Heartfelt gratitude to the people who have shared their experience and continue to support fellow shipmates
