secondary breast cancer spread to my colon

Good afternoon,

I have just had an operation to remove my large bowel and had a permanent stoma fitted 6 weeks ago. I have secondary breast cancer in my spine ribs and skull. Today I was told the cancer in my colon is spread from my breast. The question I have because my oncologist has never come across this before is what is my next line of treatment. has anybody got any experience of this Please x

Hi @sue160561, I'm sorry that you have mets to the colon. Breast cancer mets in the digestive system are rare and while I know of those with mets to the stomach and esophagus I haven't heard of anyone with colon mets. I would suggest getting a second opinion from a large cancer center which may have dealt with a similar situation before. Some hospitals will do this remotely so that you don't have to travel. I hope you can get some helpful information.
