Exercises to Relieve Side Effects

Nearly all breast cancer treatments cause side effects, including joint pain, fatigue, and anxiety. Exercise may seem like the last thing you want to do when you’re having serious side effects, but research shows that it can help ease all these side effects and more. It can also reduce the risk of recurrence, give you more energy, and brighten your mood.

In this series of short videos, Sami Mansfield, a certified cancer trainer and founder of Cancer Wellness for Life, demonstrates exercises that help reduce specific side effects, as well as some for people with bone metastases. Mansfield explains how to modify all the movements, so you can find the level that best fits how you’re feeling.
