Concerned about possible symptoms

I had a radical double mastectomy in 2015, tissue expander, and the swap a year later. The last few months I've had sharp pain in the whole region, different areas. Very brief and mild but frequent and unexplained. I don't know what normally happens after reconstruction, long term. Has anyone had this experience? I also recently had a preventative salpingoophrectomy in April, and started a low dose of estrogen (.5 mg) a month ago.

    hi,

I am sorry that you are experiencing pain and the accompanying worry. I had recon about 13 years ago and haven’t had any pain but that says nothing about your situation . Radical mastectomies are not common, and haven’t been for some time, but I suppose that could create a different situation than the more common simple mx. Bottom line? Regardless of what any of us have experienced, a visit to your doctor would be a good next step.
