Gross hematuria (Keytruda?)
hi everyone,
I just finished my breast cancer treatment. 16 rounds of chemo (4AC and 12 tax/carbo), lumpectomy (7/29) and radiation 3 weeks. I am on Keytruda and zometa until May of 2025.
9/6 I saw I was peeing red blood and went to the ER. They said it was a UTI and gave me antibiotics. My culture only showed “rare” bacteria though. I took them and forgot about it.
9/24 I had another urinalysis and it was clean and normal. Trace amount of blood (which they considered normal) and nothing else.
Yesterday I am at urgent care with the same concern (11 weeks after the first episode). The blood stopped after 5 hours and I drank a lot of water.
Has anyone had a lot of blood in their urine from Keytruda?
I can’t think of what else would cause this.

update: the Keytruda was causing inflammation in my kidneys.
