High Grade Mucinous Carcinoma at 40

Hello everyone,

My lumpectomy and sentinal node biopsy pathology report came back. It was a 1.8cm high grade mucinous carcinoma. Tumor borders were clear but there was additional DCIS 0.5mm from the border. Nodes were negative.

This was found when I just finished breastfeeding. I'm 40 and all I see is information on this as an issue usually for postmenopausal women and is usually low grade. Anyone in a similar boat or.seen any articles on this odd ball diagnosis? Thanks in advance.

Casey
