Hi @gaurykris, I am not a medical professional but HER2- (+1) is still considered HER2 low. It is not unusual for cancer hormone receptors to change over time after treatment. There are many different cancer treatments available; your mother's oncologist would be the person to ask about her prognosis. All the best to you and your mom.

Hi @gaurykris,
We're sorry to hear about your mom's diagnosis.
Our site describes HER2-low as:
"An IHC score of 1+ or 2+ with a negative FISH test result is considered HER2-low and an IHC score of 0 with membrane staining is considered HER2-ultralow by many doctors and researchers. Still there is no official definition of HER2-low and -ultralow breast cancer."
Additionally, our definition of luminal B breast cancer is:
"Luminal B breast cancer is also hormone receptor-positive and can be either HER2-positive or HER2-negative.
Luminal B breast cancers are positive for one of the hormone receptors: either estrogen or progesterone. In most cases, luminal B breast cancers are estrogen receptor-positive, but some are progesterone receptor-positive. This subtype of breast cancer has high levels of Ki-67, which means the cancer cells are growing faster than cancer cells with low levels of Ki-67."
And here are some answers to what Ki-67 levels may mean: cancer.gov/publications/dictionaries/cancer-terms/def/ki-67-score
We hope this helps!
