Bi-Rads 4: Waiting for Biopsy

Hi, this week as been a mind F. I got the below MRI results and my biopsy in in 11days. I am very concerned. I researched the mri respults and all together I am very worried about a diagnosis. I am 42 with two young children. I dont know how i am going to be able to get through the next week and a half of not knowing what is going on. I'm scared.

FINDINGS:The breast has extremely dense fibroglandular tissue.The background parenchymal enhancement is marked and symmetric, noting innumerable scattered foci of benign background parenchymal enhancement. Bilateral cysts of varying complexity, for example in the upper central right breast measuring up to 1.8 cm and in the posterior central left breast measuring up to 1.5 cm. Debris-filled, ductal ectasia bilaterally. RightMass: There is a 6 mm x 5 mm x 7 mm mass with circumscribed margins and homogeneous internal enhancement at 8 oclock of the right breast in the middle depth, 6.9 cm from the nipple and 7.4 cm from the chest wall, which is isointense on T2 weighted images. Kinetics initial phase is fast. This mass is located supero-anteriorly to the mass in the right LOQ.  Mass: There is an 11 mm x 10 mm x 10 mm mass with irregular margins and homogeneous internal enhancement at 7 o'clock of the right breast in the middle depth, 8 cm from the nipple and 5.7 cm from the chest wall, which is isointense on T2 weighted images and demonstrates diffusion restriction. Kinetics initial phase is fast.  LeftThere is no suspicious enhancement. No suspicious lymphadenopathy bilaterally. IMPRESSION: Right breast assessment:

  1. 1.1 cm mass at 7 o'clock. BI-RADS 4. Suspicious. Targeted ultrasound and ultrasound-guided Biopsy is recommended. If the ultrasound is negative then MRI guided biopsy is recommended.
  2. 0.7 cm mass at 8 o'clock. BI-RADS 4. Suspicious. Targeted ultrasound and ultrasound-guided biopsy is recommended. If the ultrasound is negative then MRI guided biopsy is recommended.

 Left breast assessment: Benign. Clinically appropriate management is recommended.  Overall BI-RADS category: 4 - Suspicious The MOD is Smri.

    @kcarey28 We're sorry you've had such a difficult week.
    Try to take it slow. Only a biopsy can determine what it is. One day at a time and know we are all here for you.
    You're going to need to practice meditation, distraction, breathing exercises, etc. We all know what you're going through. The waiting and wondering is the worst!

    We are sending you gentle hugs.

    BI-RADS 4 is Category 4

    Assessment: Suspicious abnormality.

    What it means: There is something seen in the image that looks suspicious and that could turn out to be cancer.

    You can read more here about this, if you would find it helpful.
