Also newly diagnosed…
Less than 48 hours ago I received my biopsy report and basically the only word on it that I understood was Carcinoma. The nurse advocate called a bit later and I have little recollection of anything she said concerning the biopsy. I was able to agree to get a surgical consult, call my primary for a referral and schedule an appointment next week. I’ve tried to look up some of the verbiage in the report to try to understand but it’s overwhelming. I go from being frightened, to overwhelmed, to numb , to angry , to WHY? In talking to a few close friends by text or phone I’ve discovered several supportive friends but also others I do NOT want on this journey with me. I’m leaning towards not doing any more “google research” because it isn’t about me. I need to know what it all means for me. I await meeting with the doctor and finding out what they know, what they found and what lies ahead.
Thanks for listening to me vent.
