    @july31, hi!

    The joint pain associated with aromatase inhibitors such as anastrozole is a common side effect. Many women find relief with gentle exercise, stretching, yoga, or physical therapy. Some discuss dose adjustments or short breaks with their oncologist. Hope they jump in to share their own experience and tips.

    @july31, My joint pain is caused by osteoarthritis and I can't take NSAIDs due to a history of upper GI bleeding. My gastroenterologist suggested that I take 200 - 400 mg of CoQ10 daily. He prescribes it for liver problems and told me those patients informed him it helped their joint pain as well. It has anti-inflammatory properties and very few SEs. I found it helpful. Vitamin K2 is another anti-inflammatory used for joint pain but it does react with some meds so check before using.

    PT was also helpful. I do some of those exercises before getting out of bed and finish them first thing in the morning. I walk every day on flat paved surfaces to keep things moving. Swimming/water aerobics and gentle yoga are other good exercises. I hope you find something that works for you.
